Mother Nature Attacks TLG?

Post by Piperdog »

While waiting on Steve to wrap up the GenCon tourney module and forward it to me and John Wright, John sends me an email that Steve is having a little difficulty finishing it on time....since a tree has fallen not only on his house, but two TLG trucks as well! WHAT?!!!

Is this divine wrath? Did the debut of OG&M not display a particular god in the right light and cause this supernatural disaster? At any rate, I hope no one was hurt.

With TrollCon just finishing up, and the madness that is GenCon just around the corner, the last thing Steve needs is this right now.

Steve, I hope everything works out okay for you. Forget the tourney module. John and I can figure something out between us. You have enough to worry about!

All sorts of things have plagued them before, including the time in 07 or 08 in which Davis' dog sh!t on the old C&C convention banner. I believe it was in the back of one of the aforementioned trucks, but I can't recall. That's one of the best(and TRUE)TLG stories ever. Seriously, I hope all is going as well as possible with that errant limb, or limbs striking the vehicles, and your home.

Troll lord equipment is indestructable. But concertina wire fences are like kryptonite to Davis.

Time to call in a druid! Seriously, hope the damage isn't too severe and that everyone is OK.

Indeed, damage to things is repairable if costly, but should a person be damaged... well, there are several clerics on board to do some cure light wounds.

Reality is such a damning occupation.

All duct tape discussion has become a "Summon Tullis" spell. I knew this when I typed it

Yeppers, its definitely a troll lord world. Its as if Gencon summons all manner of evil mojo. I'm going to write next Crusader's editorial about getting ready for Gencon.

In the past 2 weeks, we've had a plumbing collapse (old pipes gave out) and crews in working on that. A flood of inlaws (literally, 14 of them, suddenly without notice) and i woke up friday to a tree falling on not one, but both TLG trucks. The older one, the 96, beat up and scratched took almost no damage. The new one had the rear right quarter panel crumpled, but amazingly they survived and are drivable.

On the TLG front, we've had it fairly smooth except the suppliers of my binder board suddenly required a ton of up front mess from me in order to process the order and then the fellow making cases for the hardbacks sixtebled (haha what is that word) the cost. So I've been scrambling like a mad dog around here trying to keep things on the home front and truck front from exploding and the company actually in the black.

But the truck mess was almost funny.

Eh, what can you do but keep on doing.

Steve

You have to admit this....life at TLG may be many things, but boring isn't one of them.

Nobody in Arkansas is ever bored (there's always a family member that needs a date!)
