Tainted Lands Q

Is TL for use with Castles & Crusades or is it a new SIEGE game? It looks like it's the former, but some of what I read before makes me unsure.

From the look of it, it could be both. But its largely geared to be the former.

I believe there are quick start rules in the Tainted Lands box set too! But clearly, it is deisgned to be used with the C&C PHB. The box set even comes with a set of polyhedrals!

And a disclaimer that it is not a new Castlevania game.

Man, this Tainted Lands stuff is nothing like Castlevania, Ravenloft or any of that stuff. It's 100% fantastical horror badassery.

Other than the keying mistake on the Lollygag Inn (heh put those numbers & letters in next run of the adventure component!!) this is one of the best products TLG has put out....

Badass. Simply badass!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can't wait to get this.

Anybody called DeadReborn is going to LOVE the irony of what happens when a character perishes in the Tainted Lands

Hmm,

From what I can see, it's not what I hoped for. I guess I'll pass. I didn't really follow this product's development so maybe I'm missing something, but I would have been more interested in something that was more a standalone SIEGE-based RPG, and not an extension of C&C. Maybe I'll change my mind as more info and reviews become available.

Double hmmm . . . unless I'm missing something, this looks like one of the most interesting C&C releases this and last year ~ among some of the greatest stuff I've seen from TLG!!

I will so buy this and mix it up with Aihrde, Barovia and Greyhawk for the perfect undead/vampire/gothic horror side adventure!!!

I meant TAINTED LANDS to be both a stand alone product and a C&C world product. My intent was to help Castle Keepers begin running horror games for the fun of that experience. I really appreciate those of you who gave me kind words at Gen Con and on this forum.

I did mess up the Lolly Gag adventure map. In CRUSADER 21 we will have a corrected map. Somewhere on this forum we will post a corrected map. Also it's only 70 games that have this map mistake.

I'm very sorry as I hate mistakes in my work more than anyone else.

Heh - no problem Jim - makes the 70 GenCon2009 runs "collectable" now
For those interested - it does stand alone - it has the base C&C rule book to use to run it with it, plus the Keeper's guide and player's guide with new classes and expanded material - so anyone can play it absolutely "as is" out of the box without the C&C PHB or M&T....

As I said, I think this is utter coolness and one of the best products from TLG.

Excellent job Jim.
