VERY good News for Steve and Aihrde

While at Gencon I had time to sit and belt a few back with our very good friend Doug Kovacs. Doug is the artist who did the original painting for the Codex of Aihrde. This painting was done before everything was done in photoshop and on the computer, so it has actual paint on it! haha. It is a marvelous pieces. One of my all time favorites.

It will be the cover for the new revised Codex due out in March/April 2010.

Good news indeed. Is the new Aihdre codex going to be in hardback like the original? Since it is a codex, I am assuming so, but you never know.

Thats great! I am all for a new hardcover, but my hope would be a boxed set.....chock full of maps and more maps. Plus...maps.

Lets clarify, I understand this to mean the old art will be re-used for the new cover, which I think is great.

Others seem to think new art has been commissioned.

I was under the impression that Steve meant that the original cover was going to be the new cover...

Right. Seemed pretty obvious to me too.

Gonna be a bit tricky in the new layout format. But it'll work out.

Omote called it. The box set that is A13 will have that full cover piece on it.

Doug's original painting for the cover, will appear on the Revised Codex next year. For certain.
