Accidental Promotion

So I went to my local FLGS, to see if they finally got my book in. After a month and a half I yet to see it fall across my palm. In the intern the game side has been overtaken by new management, but I know the guy really well that is on the Used Book side... now he used to own the game side, or something like that... in any event I went in there looking for my ordered C&C book. The new owners where unsure if it was ordered or not, so Jean stepped in (the guy with the books) and had the distributor fax a list of C&C stuff so they could order the stuff right away. I didn't really want them to, it was cool and all... but they wanted to anyway. I told the new owners that I am interested in C&C and will want more of their stuff to come in. I did mention I could order it online, but that would mean not buy from here and I wanted to support the store.

Well she told me, that because of the interest, they will start stalking C&C on a regular basis and keep it on the shelf.

Hehehe... I mean I wasn't even trying.

Hey, every little bit helps. Might talk to the folks who run the place about setting up a game day for in store demos? Brings in customers. And game stores like that.

I was heartbroken when I went to my FLGS in Lasalle and found out they had dropped rpgs all together and upped their stock of collectiables and cards.

Le sigh... I thought the 90s were over.

Way ahead of you. The same convo we talked about having a game night in the store. I told her that is was very successful when I lived in Oshawa. I think I sold her on that to.
