Post by huds0n »

Here is the first peak at Frank Miller's 300. Coming out next year.

I looks very promising! It's a littlel loud so you might want to turn down your sounds a bit.

I would say that looks pretty darn good.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Hmm, well, not sure what to think. I know sometimes a trailer may be deceiving, but it sure looked dark and graphic with over choreographed moves mixed with slow motion effects. It looked very CGI-ish.
I'll wait for movie reviews before deciding.

Very much in the same vein as Frank Miller's other adapted work, Sin City.

Yes the graphic novel is very good. The art is a bit abstract but pretty darn awesome.

Ok I have watched the trailer and I think the CGI looking appearence is meant to reflect the visuals in the graphic novel. I recognized many scenes right out of the GN in fact, looks like a great adaptation. FMs adaptation is Historically accurate so don't expect that and you wont be let down.

Looks fantastic - some scenes reminded me more of Frazetta paintings than of Frank Miller. I'll definitely go and see this one!

Thanks, yours and other comments here explain a lot as to what I'm seeing. I'm not familiar with Miller's work or the latest GNs for that matter.

Yeah, this flick looks Billy-Bad Ass. According to Zack Snyder (director) they are keeping it as close to the graphic novel as possible. Now never reading it, I didn;t know quite what to expect but the trailer really has me convinced. This flick has got it all, buckets of blood, boobs and kick-ass action. I'll be there to see it.
