Whew! Friend just called and gaming shop he is in still has copy of the CK Screen. I got myself one!! w00t! Also Picked up Champions of Mystara, and Engineering Dungeons.

I don't know about amazon's prices, but there used to be two screens up there for ridiculous prices. Now there is only one...
Was someone dumb enough to buy it?

I presume the price is increased due to the number of click-throughs and references made from these forums.

As far as I know, Amazon does not determine the prices that the sellers can list something at (assuming it is a third party, and not Amazon itself doing the listing -- two very different things); they do control what can be listed, however. There are often "price wars" on Amazon between sellers, and since the fees are pretty high, having high prices is about the only way to make it worthwhile, but also, not because you end up giving so much to them... lose-lose. Similar at eBay and the like.
However, I am sorely tempted to put up my copy for $50k.

Kinda doubt that, otherwise several used items I picked up would have increased in price as people looked at them.

And this brings to me to my next point....do not do drugs before posting items on eBay or Amazon.

We gamed and grilled last night (1/3lb hamburger with mushroom and swiss Hardee's style! Then Talisman), and I got my copy of the CK Screen, Engineering Dungeons, and Champions of Mystara. Got Stuff to do this morning, but then a day of reading and hopefully some C&C tonight!
