Got it. Beat it. Loved it.

My only criticism of the game was that the single player game was too short. Haven't played the new episode yet, but I'm looking forward to it. HL2 is a fantastic game all the way around!

I have mixed feelings on MMORPG's. The RP is almost universally non-existant, with few exceptions. (I did have some good RP time on the FV server for EQ, and cuont that as my favorite time of on-line gaming).

As games, I usually do have fun with them though, for awhile at least.

I liked EQ.

Star Wars Galaxies was just ok...but I'm not a Star Wars fan either.

DAoC I loved, just not alot of people playing it. The Realm vs Realm combat was great.

WoW, I did absolutely love for awhile but it was, I dunno, not as challenging to get up there like EQ. That was a good and bad thing for me but lead to me getting bored with it faster. I PVP combat was a blast though! Part of what killed WoW for me though was their patching system and the lack of availability for high speed connection where I live.

I do think that the whole MMORPG phenomenon has led to a general trend in gaming for leaning towards "character builds" and cookie cutter characters.

I am looking forward to this one though....

Heh, yep CPU, RAM & Video RAM - tons of it. The game won't run on either of my 2 newest computers.
But oddly the demo runs, and so I've played about 2 levels and it's an absolutely outstanding game.

And since Quake IV is out, I'll just have to buy a new computer just to run this stuff!

The New Episode for HL2 is fun, al little short but fun. Some cool new game features and even better graphics. Not bad for $10.
