Big Iron Vault #3 Gaming All-Star 2009

Post by angelius »

Hi guys - I know people here have pictures worth seeing!

It's time to do something fun with the magazine.

Send us or post on here a picture of your gaming group, your gaming table - heck even your gaming collection. Boardgames, RPGs, LARP gear anything!

Our in-house judges will sort through the pictures and choose the best to feature in BIV #4 and be named the Gaming All-Star for 2009!

In addition, you and your group of friends will recieve a free PDF copy of BIV #3 for up to 10 players.

It's all meant for people to really get to show off their collections/gaming table. Should be good and I hope we all have a good time checking out each other's stuff!

All we need to say is that by posting here you're allowing us to post the picture up on our Facebook "fan page" and when the time comes to contact the winner that we'll have the right to use the picture in the feature (duh!)

Sounds like a great idea, Keith. Perhaps you could have winners for each different category or maybe even a runner up or something (assuming you're OK with making the issue a little large).

I'll did through some pics to see if I have any worthwhile.

It's funny someone else just messaged me their intentions too. I'm glad that people are interested.

It's really just for fun - besides I really want a cool gallery of people's prized possession. It would be so neat to see.

I know that not everyone is on facebook - but if the gallery gets large enough maybe I'll host it on the website or something - and call it gaming from around the world!

I think a bunch of our C&C friends are now on FB. I'm Rhu Vein. Are you on it angelius or is just BIV. I'll join the fandom soon when I check into FB. Haven't been there in a while.

If one contributes, do they also give implicit permission to use their name, and or likeness, and is that then also in perpetuity or for one issue alone?

Basically what happens is that we want to have a gallery of pictures for everyone on the fanpage to view. Out of that our columnists will select one that we deem the most awesom-est picture.

That person will have his/her picture featured in BIV #4, in terms of an article and interview - and receive up to 10 free PDF copies of BIV #4 (which they will be in).

So by submitting, we're basically saying that you let us post the picture on our fanpage/website. The pictures will be on the fanpage/website possibly for a long while - but whomever took the picture will have credit on it etc. We don't own the picture or the name of the person.

Ultimately - I know that you guys all have cool pictures. If you don't want other people to see it (which I cant fathom why since we've had our share of let's see each others collections) - don't submit - OR if you do not win and no longer wish to have the picture up, just let us know we'll take it down.

I am on Facebook as "Keith Foo", there's a fan page set up for "Big Iron Vault". Please do add me and the fan page - we have a lot of works in progress stuff there.

If I had to submit I'd probably submit my picture of a Dwarven Forge tavern that I set up a few years ago.
