That is the solution I use, though one recent game ran for three years game time, from 2398-2401. Since there is no canon there, it was far easier to do.

If you're into TOS (The Original Series) Star Trek, you might check out Falconer's Star Trek Board. There is discussion about RPG options, Starship combat rules sets, and I even have an OD&D Star Trek thread going over there.

Think about it.

Went there. The board is still rather new so there's not a lot of discussion yet. I did find the OD&D Trek sourcebook interesting.

I've owned FASA Star Trek for years, never ran the system. Did play 2 sessions, but I was a drunken college kid at the time and don't remember much about (then or now).

am going to buy some miniatures to go with it, too. I am thinking for my miniatures line to produce some generic look-alikes for use with the game this year. I am not going to put too much into them (meaning money) but if anyone has any ideas that they think will fly off the shelves I am open to ideas.

I was thinking male and female Space(Star)Fleet Officer, a klingon look-alike, an andorian look-alike, a male and female vulcan look-alike.

I like your concept sketches, I would be interested if you produce these miniatures. Well if the price isn't astronomical that is.

I have already hired the sculptor and he's working on them. Getting a completion date is essentially impossible, but they are happening. Had I to guess, the base pack of three guys may be around 8 - 12 bucks.

The scale I use lends itself well to more miniatures per pack. Most of my miniatures will likely be less than half an ounce in weight. With true scale 25mm you can get two or three miniatures for the price of one 25mm heroic scale plus you are keeping true to the standard of an inch equals five feet that most battlemaps use.
