Seeking Map Tools Tutor

Hey gang.

I will be moving back to Vancouver from Montreal this summer, and the group wants to keep the game going, via Skype. As such I have decided the time has come to learn how to use Map Tools.

Now given that I learn by doing, I was wondering if anyone who is used to using MapTools and has Skype would be willing to set up a tutorial session with me, so you could teach me the excellence of this program.

I understand that this is an imposition, but I will be forever grateful to you for the help.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Thanks for the offer, and I will take you up on it, just had a family emergency occur late last night (found out about it this morning) so let me say as to when "I have no idea right yet." When my world calms down I will revisit this.

Thanks again.

You can learn a lot about Maptools by watching these tutorials:

However, as Rigon says, Nwelte is very knowledgeable and a nice guy as well.

One thing that can be a bit tricky is whoever hosts the server for maptools has to allow others to connect to his machine. If you are using a router, this often means you have to do something called "port forwarding". The maptools forum has discussions about port forwarding, and this site also has useful information:
http://portforward.com/

just find the name of your router and follow the instructions

Good luck
