World Builder's Guidebook

Post by mythusmage »

Wizards' forums are wonky, and SJGames is being antisocial, so I'm asking here. Does anybody know where I might find a copy of Rich Baker's World Builder's Guidebook for a decent price. My copy has gone missing, dang it.

Not sure if you've tried Nobleknight games, but if they have one it's probably pretty expensive. If you haven;t already, perhaps you can try www.dragonsfoot.org . Just ask around in their classified section, and somebody will probably get back to you with a more than fair price.

But the real question is why the hell is it $60?! It's not that damn good of a supplement.

How about $9?
Link

I've bought plenty of stuff from these guys, and condition is nearly always better than they say.

$9 is actually a good price - I've quite often seen it higher than retail many times. Not as high as $60 though (that's a little ridiculous to me).

$60? I don't think so. I've had college books that I thought were worthless for the same price or more. So, I'd have a hard time paying that much for it.

I would like for you to add a third option to the poll: "WTF?!"

I gave this book away to a friend who wanted to be a better GM about 12 years ago. I would not pay more than 10 or 15 bucks max for a copy, even though it was a decent enough resource.

I never used it, I was already too awesome for it by the time it came out. My kids are finding it helpful now a days.

It's a jolly little book to be sure, although I never liked icosahedral maps; go for Cahill's butterfly if you really want to go polyhedral.
