war of the tentacles...that sounds like an adult anime almost. Mind flayer has to get close to do real damage...and it is out tentacled. Crawler for the win.

Hard exoskeleton for the win. When on the court, in the definative game of their careers, it's going to be # of attacks that get the job done. Carrion Crawlers just can't be beat in this matchup.

Mind flayer... plane shift, at range, to whatever dimension it wants. And, it can read the thoughts of the players, before they even do anything. Yeah... the crawler "all the way" on this one. Mm-hm.

Not to sway the poll, but aren't CC's animal intelligence only? so aren't they immune to MF mental blast? Am I misremembering that?

Actually, in thinking about it a little more, both are brought down by the infernal lawyers of IP Law U. They are forbidden to play, citing their banned status as of the year 2000, and then heavily fined.
