Appetizers -- We Need More Bacon!

So, in the great experiment to eat all things bacon, and to add to the wonderment that is the ineffable bacon explosion, the gaming group and I have devised a new delicacy... bacon-wrapped pizza rolls con queso. Go to the store, buy some of those bagged or boxed pizza rolls (so far, we have tried it with Totino's) and wrap them in some bacon -- apple-smoke or maple-smoke works, but so does peppered bacon. Bake them until the bacon starts to squeeze the pizza out of the roll. Dip in a nacho cheese -- we've been using Tostitos -- and enjoy.
My wife developed a bacon-wrapped stuffed stuffing wrap, where you take bacon, wrap it around stuffing (usually Stove Top if we're busy) that has had bacon crunched into it. This is baked in mini-muffin sheets with a toothpick through to make them munchable, though we've tried them in tortillas too.

They have chocolate covered bacon at the State Fair here in Milwaukee. I think it made it's debut last year. The people who tried it said it wasn't too bad.

Good call. In my, albeit limited, experience, it tastes better with a super dark chocolate. Tried some with orange mixed in, a little jalapeno, too... but, the best was the extreme dark from Belgium. The supermarket here sells bacon chocolate candy bars, but its not the same thing as getting it fresh.

I think I am getting fatter just reading this thread.
Chocolate covered bacon?
And I thought that deep fried candy bars and ice cream was bad!

Hmm, sounds de-rish-rish. But not quite as good as Meat Cereal* though.
* Meat Cereal
1 lb. ground meat (80% lean works best)
1 lb. Velveta brick
1 bag of "Potato Sticks" (or supplement with 1 bag of plain, thick cut, ruffled potato chips)
Directions: Cook ground meat in pot thuroughly, DO NOT DRAIN. Melt Velveta cheese in microwave. Combine cooked ground meat and melted cheese in same pot. Add bag of potato chips to pot and mix contents thuroughly. Pour slurry into bowl and serve with cold glass of milk. Eat at own risk.
Yep, one of the gamers in my group famously came up with this recipe before a game session. Yup, he finished the whole thing. Note: This gamer is a big dude who has suffered multiple strokes in his 41 years of life.
Bon appetit!

Mmm, add some bacon, and that might just be a great side. Thanks!

Great side!?!
One pound of meat, one pound of cheese, a bag of chips?
That's a three course meal right there!

Holy Crap! I am experiencing heart murmurs just from reading this stuff. Although on occasion, we do partake in layered nacho goodness fresh from the oven.....and a cold beer to wash it down. But those nights are much rarer. Most often we have diet pop, and/or lots of coffee.
One of my downfalls is I am a bloodthirsty carnivore, and it I really struggle on keeping fatty meats (the best kind!) out of my diet. The meat cereal one cracks me up though (but not the results to your friend, Omote!)
