Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The Orcus fig looks good, though expensive. The boardgame could be interesting depending on how closely they stayed to the original (and best) material...

Well, its a GARGANTUAN mini, so will be about a foot or so tall...
As for the Ravenloft board game, it sounds like its very strongly based on the original, based on the limitations of a board game.

Love the Orcus; but, man that price tag is a bit much! I wonder how big he's supposed to be?

Well, if they use the same one shown at the last Gen Con, before canceling this product the first time, he is BIG!! Similar in size to that really big Red Dragon they did. So around a foot tall.

Dude.
DUDE!
The orcus sculpt looks SWEET.
for a foot tall, $75 is... still high IMO.
A ravenloft boardgame piques my interest.
Odd that Stradh should look so much like Dr. Strange in that painting.

Well I bought the Red Dragon too. Like it, I will find it at the cheapest price possible, which won't be $75, more like $50.

Knock yourself out, Tree, but I've pretty much stopped giveing my money to WotC. Give it up to them iif you want...I'll find a better cause for my gaming budget.

I rarely buy anything WOTC, but that doesn't mean I won't encourage them to do things I like, like Tiles, Gargantuan Orcus figures, or a Ravenloft board game.
Besides, it hasn't kept me from buying anything else I want from Green Ronin, TLG, Paizo, Mongoose, etc...

I didn't mean any disrespect, good sir. I'm just tired of WotC, that's all. I'm personally to the point of not giving them any more money out of principle. First it was the "if we leave it alone, maybe it'll just die," treatment that was given to d20 Modern, then it was the "it's not coming...oh, wait, yes it it," announcement of 4e, then it was the pulling down the pdfs of older editions, and now ending SWSE, I feel this company doesn't care about the customes anymore. I know business decisions have to be made, but (to me) it was how the decisions were made that irks me.
I personally don't feel they deserve my money. If I buy anything of theirs (which is unlikely), it'll be used because I can't help that they've gotten ther money from the product once. I think the Orcus is cool, and I still like the Dungeon Tiles but giving them money, to me, is like me condoning them screwing me over (and asking for more). I try to make it a point not to give money to someone that continually screws me (a paying customer) over.
Sorry, Tree, I hope you didn't take it personal. My apologies if my post offended. I didn't want to come off as attacking you. I think I just hit the breaking point with WotC. Maybe a new edition of D&D, when it comes out, will change that (and the signs of a new edition are in the air). And we were such good friends not so long ago, WotC and I.

ditto. I've spent billions on their stuff in the past. Now they offer me crap called 4e? Like LD said, congrats on your WOOT and DOUBLEWOOT.
No thanks, I'll pass....

Doesn't do it for me either. I generally like the Dragons they put out, but Orcus looks a little cartoony for me. Big horkin arms that are as thick as his waist along with that goofy mace. No wooting for me either.

Yessir! When I ran the conclusion to Rappan Athuk Reloaded, the PCs got the full-on, bloated goat version of Orcus. Full of Bad.

I did not realize WOTC actually made the D&D minis. I thought political prisoners in China made them.
I have a smaller Orcus I got for 20 something.
If I ever use it as often as I do my dragons (never) then the 20 something will be just fine for me. It seems that ancient dragons and demon gods just don't get the game time they used to.
I have all the dragons but the white, and that was for a fraction of the marked price too.
Try Strikezone before buying direct. Thats where I got my icons for a fraction of prices elsewhere.
I am saving all my mini money for the really cool stuff from Secret Skeleton!
