Steve said on twitter that they are moving the print shop equipment right now. A two ton industrial cutter for one thing, and he says Davis is on the downslope as they move the sucker. I am hoping that there is not a bout of Trollish Luck! All I can say is...Davis, Look Out Man! Guinness AFTER the move....AFTER, Man!

Two ton industrial cutter - that must be the one the hoses break on every now and then. Let's hope they survive the move.

Hopefully they get some reliable machinery to assist with something that big.

I think it exerts two tons of pressure for cutting, it probably doesn't weigh that much.

No, its an industrial cutter made back in the 50 or 60s. A champion I believe. It is absolutely a work of art. Whenever it breaks, we can actually fix it with tools!!!!! We broke a sheer pin on the blade last year, took the arm apart (or whatever its called) and took it down to a machinist. He manufactured us another one and we were up and running within a day. And get this, and this is AMAZING, I didn't have to call a tech support number and sit on hold for 30 minutes to talk to someone I can't understand only to have them tell me to not touch the machine they would send a battalion of technicians out to tinker with it.
But the machine is about 1 ton, not two. This according to the guys we ended up hiring to bring it down the hill. Davis and I ended up removing the door of the old print shop to get it out and these guys he knew with a lift gate a palette jack offered to help us move it. They were four HUGE dudes, funny as hell and as laid back as a shot of rye. Davis vanished during the move and the only thing ended up damaged was the cord, which our foolishly unsecured blade fell upon and cut right in half. Mark spliced it all back together in about 15 minutes and we were up and running.
Last monday was a hell of a day. I'll try to get some pics up of the whole shop building process.

Now don't exaggerate, chief. Its only a platoon of techs they have to send out, not a battalion.

Another adventure for the Trolls it seems. There's always an amusing, yet true story. From working on the air conditioning unit to Davis' dog sh!tt!ng on a C&C banner, and now this! The legend's growing as the story's told! I borrowed that last quote from the legendary Paul Stanley. Yes. That fellow with clown make up, and a star around his eye.

Shadow crapping on the TLG banner was just wrong.
Of course, being cheap like we are, we just cleaned it and hang the stained cloth on high at many a convention!
The interesting thing about this move and the high tech stuff was moving our printing equipment. The servicing agreement requires we hire some professionals to move...for a very steep price...or we have to pay for everything that might possibly go wrong at some point in the next 100 years. So this one dude shows up and is rougher on that equipment than we ever would have imagined being. No pallet, not even a hand cart and he just wheeled that equipment down to the shop, pieces falling off, noisy as hell. We were cracking up. Of course when the final bill shows up I will stop laughing.
The dudes that helped with the cutter were huge Trailer Park Boys fans so that made the day. haaha

And Breakdaddy your right. Its probably a platoon! haha Tech came out yesterday and they had to move the big machine to get at it and he told Mark: "Well, I'm not required to move the machine. You'll have to do that." Mark moved the machine about 2 inches. He was not amused hahaha

Preeks.
We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.
