Been a long time since HBO seemed interesting. For me, not having any idea what this involves (never read the books), I might be tempted... but it'll be cheaper to wait for it to hit DVD, so I will.

Oh yeah its a teaser. They just dangled the prime cut of beef and said said you can have bologna . I can't wait for the show to finally air. I can't recommend the books enough though. It may not be for everybody but I friggin love em.

The books rock!!!!
Seriously, if you want a break from the WotC Drizzit-of-the-Month Club fare, then check theses books out. They have everything: intrigue, sex, diplomacy, treachery, characters acutally dying!

In a way me to. He might be on the "wrong" side of the fight, but he is still loyal to his family, respectful of his enemies, and honorable in his own small way. There are "good guys" that that isn't true for.
Oh yeah I didn't know they were making a show. I got to give this a look see when I get a break.

I hope Uwe Boll is free to direct. Perfection in the making.

Curb Your Enthusiasm makes me wanna kill people. I hate that show. Flight of the Conchords rawks. The single best HBO show to date though was The Wire. Friggin awesome. High hopes for the excellence of AGoT though.

Sorry, but no. Two whole TV shows is not worth $15 extra per month, or more, since I won't be able to watch them when they come on and therefore have to pay to get a DVR.... naw, if I want to watch them, I can rent them on DVD for $1 or 4. Less if I want to break international copyright law, which I don't.

Are you saying that these are bad shows or that you are a cheapskate?

I watch a great deal of HBO premium programming
True Blood
Flight of the Conchords
Hung
Entourage
Treme
just to name a few. They have excellent HBO films and documentaries as well. The fact that they show regular movies on there is icing as far as I'm concerned. But this is merely my opinion.

Both, but mostly that I am cheap... at least when it comes to paying money to watch TV.

I guess I'm cheap, too. I cancelled my "Premium" package, too. I just wasn't watching enough television. There are some stuff that'd I wouldn't mind seeing (like GoT, True, Blood, Spartacus, to name a few) but I didn't watch tehm that religiously to begin with, so I guess I shouldn't pine about them now.
