ConQuest Oregon Oct. 1-3, 2010

Post by Go0gleplex »

Having survived its first year, this con is back again trying to better its 150+ turnout.

The wife and I will be there again, though this year we are planning on scheduling our C&C games rather than depend on pick-up games.

Check it out at http://www.conquestoregon.com/

yeah... that's one thing I'm sad about... I was really looking forward to hitting CotC this year... but at the same time it will be cool to get to go to the Oregon cons... ahh if I only were rich I could just attend all of them

Just ordered my tickets for ConQuest... looking forward to it. Since I've only been to really large cons before, it will be interesting to go to a smaller one.

Still waiting on event approval, but I've committed to running The Ruins of Ramat and my own creation, Mystery at Morfurt on Saturday. So there should be at least two games of C&C ran officially.

Goodcook (Sandy) has committed to running a game (Hrothgar's Keep) on Saturday as well, so there will be plenty of C&C goodness to go around if the con staff approve the events. Even if they don't, we'll still be running the games.
So there will be plenty of room to get in on a game narpet. :}

I'm really looking forward to it. And this will be the first con that I bring my sons to... they should really have a blast.

Well...spent all day Saturday poised to run our games. They stuck us in the back corner where we didn't have anyone even going by our table until almost lunchtime. No takers...but we did give away two of the QS rule books and saw plenty of C&C stuff in the dealer's room.

Very little RPG action...hordes of board game stuff. I think this will be our last foray to this particular con.
