Very nice. Your work has a certain feel to it. It might be nice to see them in a TLG product or series of products with this type of feel. Don't ya think?

Always wonderful to see me bro's stuff on display. If you think this work is good, you should see some of the full-color paintings; rarely have I encountered material that could equal it.

Thanks again everyone for the kind comments. And yes... I had to pay Telhawk to write that

Complients galore but no feedback.

I think I like the dwarves, as do everyone else becasue of the contrast in the art.

While the dwarves show serious detail in their faces, it bleeds into shade and shadow.

The other ones lack in the detail.

I think your really onto something if you pursue how you did the dwarves.

I think your really onto something if you continue a contrast of serious detail and then less detail like how you did the dwarves.

Thanks, Joe.

A lot of this kind of thinking is from my study of the old masters. Kathy Kollwitz is another good one to look at.

All these people helped me think about how I want to edit a picture.

Sometimes I think of it like a movie - Main actor and supporting cast and sub-plots sort of thing.

This whole fantazy drawing is new to me though as I am a painter.

Thanks again for the commemts.

The beholder is just beautiful Jung, I'd like to see some of your paintings too if you could post those.

Thanks, Darth. I had fun doing the beholder.

Here are a few pics of paintings - both old and newerish. I haven't taken any photos of my work for 08 yet. Hope you like em. Thing about painting is that you are always trying to top the last one you did while not repeating yourself. It is fun and frustrating all at once.

Sometimes I let go and am more concerned with just getting light on form rather than accurate anatomy. Everyone has their own jouney to discover and everyone is different in some way.

A splendid diversity of styles though. Rubenesque to impressionistic.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

There is a lot of good work in this artist section right now and it's all great for me to see and learn from. Believe me, I learn from the comments.

Good to work Peter, Darth, Glad and Atom! (Did I miss anyone?)

And Pete, you described the course that I am teaching in one breath. Hehe

*chuckles* You wouldn't believe the amount of hell I caught from one art teacher when he asked "Are you familiar with Rubens?" And I said "Yes, but I actually prefer other varieties of sandwich."

He turned a most fascinating shade of purple.

Thanks for the compliment, Treebore. We artists need them.

Today I was doing my Don Music (from Sesame Street) imitation.

The beholder is a thing of beauty. If I could pay you for a full size copy I would! My wife might not like it framed but I would!

PM me!....

Resurrected from the dead:

Here are the two pics I did for DDIII. The objective for the professor Kroll drawing was to sum up an entire module in one sentence and picture. I also wanted to show how our Yggsburgh setting was growing beyond what was written in the CZ material, as Gary wanted. For those wanting to use Kroll in their games, at the bottom of page 43, left side, of CZ:Yggsburgh, it briefly describes the professors at the Academy of Magic. One of these professors is a 9th level Wizard who I envisioned as Kroll. Perhaps I will outline this adventure in the future but for no I hope you enjoy the picture as is.

I like the Deer Druid headshot. Not too much detail, but gives a strong, primordial feel.
