It is static grass from Woodland Scenics, a product usually used for model railroading.

So there's no mistake, all but three of these are painted and modded by Don F. Moss. Mine are the three crappy ones you see in the very first post. The rest are painted by Don. The characters are not his creation, but the paint is all his.

How do you get it to look so grass like? I use Games Workshop static grass and it always cames out looking like Astro-Turf... Admittedly, I've only based 2 minis so far, but still
Is it a difference in the quality of the Static Grass being used? Or is there a trick to get it looking like that?
