Savage Worlds Tonight

Post by Piperdog »

My brother is coming into town tonight for our annual deer hunting escapade (which most days consists of sitting in sleet freezing our butts off) so we thought we would actually play some SW. I have owned the Explorer's Edition for a long time, but never actually tried running anything. So tonight, it's pulp adventure...

Excellent. I'm getting a chance to try SW again this weekend at a local con.

The Thursday group I am a part of has been using SW as a "filler" game, when we can't run our planned game. We have been using the fantasy DL from their site. It works pretty well.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Good for you guys. I first became aware of Deadlands in the late 90's, then Savage Worlds by 2004. One of my first two games was gm'd by creator, Shane Hensley. SW(with its myriad settings) and C&C are pretty much my go to rpg's.

Yeah, I have the Soloman Kane book, and am looking forward to running that in the first half of next year.
