OSRIC - Malevolent and Benign: A First Edition Bestiary

Has anyone purchased this or looked through the entire book? From the short preview on Lulu it looks pretty good, but I was hoping to find opinions/reviews before buying the hardcover ($40). So far I've only found one short review.

I know I have seen regular positive comments made about it over in the Simulacrum forum on Dragonsfoot. I haven't bought it myself, haven't been convinced I needed it.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
