Pinnacle always seems to do a good job with backwards compatability with their products. Sort of like TLG. Won't be the kind of earth-shattering changes one would see with some other games.

It sounds like it will make its debut at GenCon, though I wish it were sooner. Looking forward to it; they stated there will be more explanations about things, and also the Why rules were written the way they are. I am sure changes will be miniscule but an improvement. I love my digest book, but my hardcover fetish is all aquiver for this book.
On a different note, I am looking forward to Reapers line of Deadland Minis.

Even though I know Shane, Clint, and some of those guys fairly well, I don't speak for them. I think the chase rules will be the most radically altered thing in the book. Should be able to use those with the old plot point campaigns, or revert to the old way. Looking forward to Deluxe.

For $40 I think I can go with a hard cover, plus the extra's do sound good. Especially if I can find this at my usual discount locations.

I've looked over the Beautiful Brains website and can't find a podcast download page. Do they have podcasts of their 'chats' for download somewhere? Or is it a listen live only situation? Do you know? thanks.

Sorry, but it is a chat room only. It lasts about an hour, and they don't usually put up the transcripts afterwards. Jodi really does need to host a podcast, though.

Never played Savage Worlds... someone sell me on it. Is it good? great? what's it like?
