Hello Troll Lord forum folk!

Those of you who remember my work with Troll Lord Games (Crusader, World Builder, Insidiae) may be interested in checking out my own Eldritch Role Playing game on Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eld ... ed-edition. Since these are the TLG forums, I must say it's not a competitor to excellent retro-styled games like Castles and Crusades; it has a different feel mechanically, and is married to a very different campaign setting. The 1st edition made its debut in 2008, published by Goodman Games, and received positive reviews. This is a game that celebrates the narrative, but at the same time is unabashedly action-oriented. It is a fast game to pick up and play one-shots for those weekend warriors, but also infinitely customizable for GMs desiring a system to make their own for longer campaigns.

The original edition was meant to be self-contained, but we were unable to include the originally planned full campaign setting, and needed more material for monsters, traps, and treasure. The subsequent material written and published in PDF suffered from insufficient marketing. Still, the game enjoyed a small, international following. Now I want to make a Revised Edition, complete with the fully realized campaign setting written by Peter Schaefer (formly of WoTC), and a new section on monsters, treasure, and traps. With all of that in one book, I believe this game can make a strong comeback, but I need your help. Not only will this book be a single, truly self-contained rulebook, but it will have all new cover and interior art, and a new, well organized layout. Enough people have embraced this game for me to know it’s worth the effort. You can see for yourself on the 1st printing's current website, linking through Eldritchrpg.com. You can download the Quickstart guide, the free adventures, read the reviews and check out the forums.

The rules will be updated to reflect feedback, though the mechanics will remain mostly unchanged. Character generation, the action resolution system, and the focus on story are all extensively tested, and need only a final polish to truly stand out.
