Has anyone else picked this book up from Pied Piper?

I got this item and the Daemonic & Arcane and think they are pretty cool. I'm suprised I've not read anyone else on the forum (at least that I recall) mentioning these.

Anyone?

Rhuvein is a big fan. I don't remember who else is of the top of my head. I'm not, but thats due to personal stuff, not product quality. Anything Alan Grohe is involved in is going to be good. Same can be said for Lance Havermale.

I'm just waiting to get it for reduced price. I am in no rush to purchase anything new these days, as I am more interested in old stuff, especially small press material.

I picked up the First Edition printing.

It's shock full of excellent ideas. Very inspired work. If you like stuff like Tome of Artifacts, say, this is a very cool book to get. It's not about mechanics, it's about planting seeds in the DM's head. At first, you might look at some items and think "how am I going to use this in a game?" and that's sort of the point behind the whole book - to make the DM look beyond the bonuses the item provides and get some really original stuff to use in his games.

Benoist, you hit the concept of these products on the head! It made me re-remember to not just hand out generic magic, but each treasure is unique.

I think it's the whole point of Pied Piper Publishing, too! ERKAT is just one shining example of what "enchantment" at the origins of gaming used to mean!

Have you read "the Stalk"? At first you're like "I payed for that?" but when you get over the modern "the module does everything for you" reflex, you see a shining example of pure design brilliance. Really, I'm not joking. Highly recommended.

Dittos. Yes I own and have read The Stalk. It really takes me back to the days when purchased modules don't hold the DMs hand, but really justs sets the stage for you. I've enjoyed all the products I've purchased from Pied Piper. I have big plans for ERKAT and Bottle City for that matter!

I haven't gotten around to picking up any of the products yet but with the release of the Arcane Treasury, I was thinking about it. I've heard nothing but good things so it's a consideration. Mind you there are a few other things I need to pick up first.
