Guess what arrived in the mail today. Starblazer Adventures using the FATE 3.0 system.
Thing is I don't remember pre-ordering it or even paying for it... but there you go, I must have.
It is a huge book and as I really like the FATE system it looks like a fun read.
Though now all my $$$ is going towards C&C now I doubt I'll get any follow up books. Anyway in my move I'm unsure what happened to my Spirit of the Century book. Maybe I might look at the Dresden game if it ever gets finished.
Still a pleasant surprise, now if I hadn't lost the Fates Worse Than Death game I'd be that much closer to adapting the FATE rules to a very cool setting.

Same here. That would have been really cool to see.

Yeah I loved the old Starblazers... but there wasn't enough room to put "Adventures" in the title.
Buuuuuuuut.... with the rules in Starblazers you could make a Starblazers game. That is what this game is really all about.

Starblazers Adventures was my first exposure to FATE, strangely enough. Then I went and read the older versions of it... and... well, SBA is basically the natural evolution of that gameplay model. Its too bad my players can't seem to grasp the Aspects mechanics very well.

I have the first series set. Need to get the other three someday. (Comet Empire, Bolar Wars, and the latest one...)
