TSR: Star Frontiers

Post by dutch206 »

This was TSR's first sci-fi game --back in the early 80's. (Way before Alternity and Star-Drive were ever thought of.) "Crash on Volturnus" was the first Sci-Fi module I ever played through. This game is way out of print, and WotC has no intention of re-releasing it.

However, I found a website whose owner has been licensed by WotC to host PDF versions of the Star Frontiers rulebooks and modules. To my knowledge, this is the ONLY officially licensed download site for Star Frontiers merchandise.

Converting this game to Star Siege should be a snap.

They have a TON of great stuff on that site! Plenty of material to keep you going for a good long time!

Yep, I discovered it a good while back, 2 maybe 3 years, and the Frontiersman Digital magazine has been great as well!

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I would consider Metamorphosis Alpha and Gamma World to be science fiction games, both published before Star Frontiers - though I'm sure Star Frontiers was TSR's first space opera game.
