The Patriots of New England will crush the remaining opposition, thus cementing the greatest season in NFL history, the greatest QB in NFL history, the greatest coach in NFL history, and the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Ever!

Well the Bears did beat the tar out of the Pack a few weeks ago. I actually was quite surprised, but Brett said it was the worst weather he had ever played in.

Like Gary, I'm a Bear fan first and then Packers 2nd - having family in Wisconsin from Walworth at the bottom to Iron River and Superior at the top.

I would expect that they should beat the Giants, but the Pats will be tough.

Should be some great football today ~ I went out this morning and froze my patooties off, so I ain't going' out again!!

I'll be watching the Packers game for sure. But between rounds of our C&C game. My oldest Grimmspawn has taken a liking to C&C and Yggsbburgh.

Whoa, now that is cold!!
We've only had that a few times in Chicago all my years here. So cold, yer eyeballs will freeze if you look into the wind!!
It looked durn cold at Lambeau. That type of weather surely changes everything for teams, even those that are used to cold conditions.

I'm a Cowboys fan but I sure hate the Giants . So I was rooting for old favre. You would think a team with a defensive guy named Bigby would be able stop some pesky giants

Gary, do you think that a town like Yggsburgh would tolerate evil temples operating in the open? I know that in, ahhh, Dunfalcon there are evil temples and some evil priests that hold some high positions in local government.

Maybe I missed this one, but I did not see it.(my apologies if you already answered this on the thread) Gary, when you do get to play and not GM what characters do you play? I thought I saw you made mention of this on another board a long time ago, but I forget the details and would like to know .

Also aside from the obvious choice of the Lake Geneva convention, do you plan on going to any other conventions this upcoming spring/summer like Origins, GenCon, etc? I would like to make it to Lake Geneva, but I am not sure if it will be possible this year but a closer one to me might be.

I always wanted to meet you because you have been such a big and positive influence in my life through your works. Another person that I want to meet very much would be Larry Elmore, another big influence. Is there any chance of him coming to future Lake Geneva Cons?

Howdy!

I must usually GM and seldom get to play an RPG otherwise, save when Jim Ward agreese to run his excellent Metamorphosis Alpha game for the group. However, I frequently play boardgames.

As of this time i have no plans to attend any conventions this year other than LGGC IV. As this con is a small one, it is most unlikely Larry will travel all the way from his home to attend the show.

If I receive a package with an addressed, post paid return enevelop containing something to be autographed, I will sign the object and return it. I will not do so for anything that requires a trip to return the material.

Cheerio,

Gary

No, I do not think the populace would, knowing that malign worship begits nothing but ill for the community.

Of course, similar to the assassins in the town, a secret place of evil worship is not at all unlikely for the evil element in the place.

If this Con keeps getting bigger, who knows?!

A little bigger is fine, but I'd hate to see it get some big that it outgrew Lake Geneva like Gen Con did.

I like going up to the Mecca of Roleplaying.

Still plenty of room as it stands now.

Here is the tribute I was including in Monsters and Treasure II. I sent it to Gary and he responded positively:

Qigyg

No. Encountered: 1

Size: Medium

HD: 3 (d8)

Move: 30 feet

AC: 10

Attack: 2 Fists (1d4)

Special: Bend Reality

Saves: M

Int: Genius

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Type: Humanoid

Treasure: 3

XP Value: 35+3

Nothing interests a qigyg more than something new. They derive their greatest pleasure from experience, and they always seek it above anything else. Qigyg have a particular fondness for games, however, especially those of a purely mental or psychological nature, such as chess, but are not above entering a contest of dice rolling. Each is a consummate gambler, and they rarely lose for it seems fate itself is on their side; indeed, the race of qigyg traces its origin to a primordial mishap, where chaos and order were first formed. This tale is, of course, pure fancy, but the uncanny luck that follows a qigyg has lead many to accept the story as fact. In appearance, qigyg resemble humans for the most part, having the full range of expressions and shape, though a qigyg is generally bulkier, but not larger. They typically have bushy beards which are kept as long as manageable, and have thick eyebrows as well; qigyg are prone to have eyesight problems as well, and will usually be seen wearing corrective lenses. In truth, qigyg are nearly indistinguishable from an ordinary member of the human stock, save for a qigyg is incapable of perspiring, under any condition. There are no known female qigyg, and their means of procreation are the subject of many a heated debate.

Combat: For a qigyg, combat is a means to experience new thrills, and each has their own views, entering or fleeing to suit the tastes of the qigyg involved. They do, however, want to win, and will often take bold and dangerous actions which are seemingly impossible, yet always work.

Bend Reality: Each round, a qigyg gains a +3 modifier it can use for any attack roll, damage roll, save, or die roll of any kind, including those which are normally unmodified such as spell resistance checks. In situations which are not determined by the roll of a die, a qigyg always has two tries to succeed, or win, using the best result.
