HUNGER HOLLOW

Now that killer troll cave is done except for the maps, my next project will be a compilation of all 8 killer caves to create a single adventure similar in concept to the Caves of Chaos.
The compilation will also include an area map tying the locations together and an all-inclusive introduction and history of the area.
Peter has suggested "HUNGER HOLLOW" for the title. I like it. Whadya think?
Here's a pic of the valley my wife Laura created for the area. For those who don't like the computer generated stuff, consider this a concept pic.

Tell your wife that is awesome. Give it a lot of brown and red tones instead of green, it reminds me of an area near Sedona. Except this is much bigger in scale, I think.

I like it! (both the title and the pic)
I can hardly wait for the compilation edition of these little gems you've created!

That is awesome. I like the concept. I like the art. I like the caves. I have always LOVED Keep on the Borderlands.

Laura was glad to hear the positive comments. After she finishes her art degree this spring, I'm sure we'll see more excelllent pics to come.
Alas, poor Andrea is neck deep in first year courses.

I like "Hungry Hollow" - but 'the Vile Vale' also suits.

Heh heh. I remember it well. I found that the wize thing to do was to mix the 'basic' courses with the art courses so I wasnt too bored.

That's good advice. I advised her to do the same after smothering myself in programming courses and deciding too much of a good thing is bad.

Hunger Hollow is well into editing/reformat (80% done).
Looks to be 2 or 3 booklets.
booklet 1= 60 pages of encounter descriptions
booklet 2= 20 maps
booklet 3=20 pages of new magic items/spells/monsters/gods.
Might combine booklets 2 and 3 into 1 booklet.
Should be done in a week or 2.

The Hunger Hollow compilation is now complete. I ran the idea of publishing it by Steve...as a "Caves of Chaos on steroids" as some suggested here on the boards. I'll be submitting it to him for review and will post more news later.
I'd like to give a special thanks to everyone who downloaded, reviewed, posted or playtested the original Killer Caves material. Your efforts were greately appreciated. It turned out to be a great mod with enough material for 8-10 gaming sessions.
Now onto other projects...
Anyone interested in making maps from mod descriptions? I'm writing too fast for my mappers. Got a bunch of mini mods waiting on maps and a few that still need C&C stat blocks. Some will become compilations for submission. Drop me a PM if you have the time and interest.
Treebore, I'll be sending one or more Rhiannon's way, if she's still up for some C&C stat blocking.
I'm also interested in PMs with suggestions for collaborative efforts with other published or non-published writers who have the time or ability to make it work without taking too long. Some of my mini mods would be ideal for this purpose since they'd be better as full size mods rather than compilations.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Brian Miller

She's willing Brian. Who knows, maybe I'll find enough motivation to be of help.
