Dread Crypt of Srihoz Now Available

Post by goodmangames »

Hi guys,

Pardon the semi-commercial post... just wanted to make sure everyone knew the next C&C module from Goodman Games is now in stores. It is GG5: The Dread Crypt of Srihoz, for level 9-11 characters. Look for the PDF version in a few weeks. For more info, check out the Goodman Games web site. (I would post a direct link, but the forums are fighting me on that!)

I got it in the mail from Noble Knight Games earlier this week! Reminds me a lot of Lost Caverns of Tsjocanth, and I consider that a very good thing.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I'll have to pick that one up, as well as #4. It makes me sad that they'll no longer be doing C&C mods due to the whole OGL/GSL or whatever the Hell it is.

Maybe, or maybe not...

I think if they can find an altenative route there might still be some future C&C product from Goodman (maybe just separate from the DCC line).

Joe has certainly been a big supporter of the Trolls and this system, and one can hope the GSL won't constrain him completely from continuing.

PS - I think you grabbed the one I was gonna buy Tree - went to Noble Knight and got Crusader #4, Palace of Shadows and Secrets of the Smugglers Cove but Dead Crypt disappeared literally just as I was about to add it to my cart lol.... damn your sticky fingers Robert, Scar is supposed to be the thief!

Umm, might have been me. I got a copy from Noble Knight a week ago. If so, sorry, but I had to have it!

Joe Goodman believes, at this time, he will be able to continue doing C&C stuff. Things still need to be clarified and decided upon, but he thinks/hopes he will still be making us C&C fans happy.

I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case. I'm no expert, but I believe a company can do two separate product lines. Maybe they'll be able to do a C&C OGL line of product, while doing DCC 4E at the same time. They just can't do the same product line for both systems? Right? Still can't imagine the DCC mod's not having those cool covers(with the first edition look). Either way, J. Goodman has my vote for more C&C mod's.

I think the sticking point is whether or not he can convert some of the older DCC mods to C&C. I'm sure they can release other C&C modules, they just can't be conversions from their 4ed D&D/DCC line.

So, they can't do the new ones. There's plenty of old ones left to convert. IF they can. Here's hoping...
