Re: New Online Game Starting in March
Ok, so how many players do we have for this campaign so far and what classes?
Re: New Online Game Starting in March
Here's what we have:daddystabz wrote:Ok, so how many players do we have for this campaign so far and what classes?
*TheFink - class not yet chosen
*sajflorida - class not yet chosen
*ajjflorida - dwarf fighter
*2 players that don't post here - class not yet chosen (I'll find out for sure Saturday)
That's six players with you. LordSeurek said he'd jump in if we are short, but six should be just right.
Pick whatever you'd like for a character (no evil, neutrals are OK) and the others can fill out the roster as they see what others are playing. We'll be using Epic Words as a campaign tracker. Please PM me your email address so I can send you an invite to the campaign on Epic Words and your Skype ID.

Re: New Online Game Starting in March
Rizon, Human Wizard here.
Stuck as an assistant. Making elixirs, fetching wood, copying text – boring. For how long? Not ready yet, not ready. That’s what they think. I’ve mastered basic magic. They don’t know. I’ll show em.
There’s a new fort on the outskirts of The Kingdom preparing to build a new town. I’ll go there, leaving late at night on a caravan of supplies, and show them by deed that I am indeed ready.
I’m ready to be me.

I'd like to play as an Illusionist if that's ok. Please let me know how to proceed as to creating our characters, unless we're doing that our first session. I'd like to get something on paper and flesh it out.

Go ahead and roll up your characters (honor system).TheFink wrote:I'd like to play as an Illusionist if that's ok. Please let me know how to proceed as to creating our characters, unless we're doing that our first session. I'd like to get something on paper and flesh it out.
*Roll 4d6 drop the lowest, arrange as desired. Characters may be re-rolled if they do not have net bonuses of +2 for all abilities combined.
*Max hit points at 1st level.

What about starting gold/equipment?

By for all abilities combined do you mean +2 on average overall for attributes?Demiurge wrote:Go ahead and roll up your characters (honor system).TheFink wrote:I'd like to play as an Illusionist if that's ok. Re: New Online Game Starting in March
I probably should have said attribute modifiers rather than bonuses. Example: If you have a Str 8 (-1), Dex 7 (-1), Con 16 (+2), Int 6 (-1), Wis 5 (-2), Cha 4 (-2), your total of all the attribute modifiers would be -5 and you may re-roll the character if you'd like.daddystabz wrote:By for all abilities combined do you mean +2 on average overall for attributes?Demiurge wrote:Go ahead and roll up your characters (honor system).TheFink wrote:I'd like to play as an Illusionist if that's ok. Re: New Online Game Starting in March
Updates for character types chosen:
ajjflorida: fighter
sajflorida: wizard
TheFink: illusionist
daddystabz: ?
Mark (non-poster): rogue or fighter (will play either depending on what else is chosen)
Leaf (non-poster): ?
Please roll your characters up and post them on Epic Words within the next few days. You don't need anything elaborate, just enough detail for me to peek at or for someone to run it if you can't make it. Here's my character for another C&C game as an example: http://www.epicwords.com/characters/2772.
On another note, I'm re-thinking my stance of using a virtual table and wanted to get everyone's thoughts. It's not vital, but it is nice to be able to see maps and combat placements. I've got a basic setup of Maptool working and wouldn't mind using that. It's a bit intimidating at first, but we'll start with just the basic features.
Let me know what you think.

Let's try maptools. If we don't need it we don't use it, but it sounds like the veteran players say it's a good idea to use it.
Re: New Online Game Starting in March
OK, cool. I'm trying to figure out which version is most stable and will let you all know so we can make sure we all have the same one. I'll let you know soon.TheFink wrote:Let's try maptools. Re: New Online Game Starting in March
Just a quick note of thanks to the players and everyone who posted their encouragement.
I was leery of using Maptool due to my inexperience with it. I'm still learning the macro language, but the maps and counters proved very useful.
Everyone seemed to have fun and that's all that counts.
