Sounds cool Rhu.

a few questions:

1) will there be any gargoyles that turn into margoyles, and then into Super Gargoyles with 100% Bear Immunity?

2) Will there be any danger of a PCs head exploding, killing the rest of the party?

1 Yes.
2 Yes.

But there is only . . rolls a d100 ~ a 24% chance that an adventuring party (with you as their leader) will encounter the following creature:

"Her left foreleg is a limp, shriveled, pink thing, lacking feather or fur - and half her beaked face and part of her torso is likewise pink, scarred and bubbled!"

Of course, if the party stumbles into the lair of this critter - get ready to roll up new characters!!

I forgot how great those covers are.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

Haven't decided yet, although I'll be trying to target 6PM/6:30 central time.

I'll also throw out the idea that I can run this on Friday or Saturday nights, if the groups would rather play those days than Sunday.

Otherwise, Rigon expects his game will wind up sometime in June.

Castle Zagyg – Expedition to the Mouths of Madness.

World of Oerth/Aihrde (in some lands the world is called Aihrde, in others Oerth).

Your party is currently at the Green Dragon Inn in the City of Yggsburgh swilling ale and chomping on roasted mutton legs.

You’ve adventured before helping to clear the road from Yggsburgh to Castle Gaxhill of bandits and goblins, on a commission from Sir Alex.
You haven’t met him, but know one of his men (a ranger).
Several weeks have gone by and you are getting bored and anxious and running out of money.

The ranger enters the inn and waves and joins your party.

He tells the party of the kidnapping of a squire belonging to a good friend of Sir Alex and asks if you would be interested in attempting to find the boy.

Things you know:

An asteroid crashed into the Barrier Peaks
Fog and mist surround Castle Zagyg, but word is spreading that the mists have cleared around the base of the plateau. Creatures and humans have been seen.
The plateau and Castle are still shrouded in the fog.
The Empress Pryzmira wishes the City of Yggburgh would join the alliance of free cities.
A certain yellow brick road leads to the Emerald City of Oz, where a great and powerful wizard resides ruling over the population.

Things that are rumored:

Count Rhuvein was seen flying a copper dragon which landed on the roof of the Tower of the Striped Mage.
Aristobolus has returned from the void and the Mystic Enclave is gathering their forces.
One of the Castle Zagyg spires can be seen on a full moon.
Armies of hobgoblins are massing south of Yggsburgh.
Mogrl have been sited over Serpent Ridge.

House/online game rules:

2 lvl characters with max HPs
Max gold X2
4D6 drop lowest (reroll 1s & 2s)
Mages can wear non-metal armor (+3 max)
Monks can wear padded or leather coat (+1 max)
Natural 20 roll (crit) = dmg roll + ½ of total possible
2nd nat 20 in a row = dmg roll + max
Fumble = dropped weapon, lose 1 turn
2nd fumble in a row – weapon damage

If the party has 2 or more of any class they get special bonuses

Pick 3 deities from Of Gods and Monsters or any other source

Spell casters have/know all 0 level spells and some are permanently memorized/known, i.e – wizard can detect magic without having to study, but must state that he is doing so.

More to come.

Whatever works best for you and the group is good. Should work for me. You might prefer to slip into the Rigon slot on Sundays for simplicity's sake. Plus, I don't think it will take 2 more months to finish the TPK Rigon attempted last time. I would guess maybe two or three sessions. The tricky bit is finding some dumb sucker to take the Helm of Heady Goodness the second time.

If run correctly, which I hope I can do, the current arc will take between 8 and 10 sessions, give or take. Then I am perfectly willing to put my campaign on hold, while Rhu tries to kill us. ;)

Heh, not I. My job is to keep the party alive ~ because PCs tend to get themselves killed . . by not praying enough to their deities (hint, hint). Only the faithful, lucky and clever will survive in my world! ;)

What this party needs is a stiff infusion of Vitamin Jay! It looks like the timing will work out quite splendidly. I'll stop being (as) useless after July 1st.

Indeed.

NimRod's potion of VJay ~ a curative for healing, bravery, dexterity, instincts and male enhancement!

4 HPs of health
+1 to hit
+1 to all saves
+2" to all appendages
+4 to your comliness attribute

[Effects last for 4 hours, but seek medical attention if your appendages continue to protrude longer. Side effects include . . wanting to mount owlbears and large mountain goats. Tell your doctor if you take nytrol glycerin for heart health. Also, if your fellow adventurers look like hairy bearded dwarf wimmin, then you're OK and don't worry when you wake up next to one]

Well done, Jay!

When the game commences, Jay can roll a d12 to see how many potions are available to the party!
