((Why am I posting this in the C&C message board? Well, hopefully many of you know me to be reputable and to actually run games when I promise to.))
The theme is "alien invasion."
The rules for this particular variant are at: http://sites.google.com/site/ssfsx17srp ... f-humanity and they are always a work-in-progress, subject to improvements according to what happens in the game. Since this FATE, you the player will have a big effect on the tone of the game.
The game is organized through Skype (my Skype handle is "ssfsx17"). Skype is also the best way to contact me. There is not yet a decision regarding voice chat.
The proposed schedule is Thursday nights at 1800 PST / 1900 MST / 2000 CST / 2100 EST, each session lasting for two or three hours. The optimistic date for the first session is July 28.
Maptool will be used for dice, due to: the fact that it is both free and fast, the fact that I can troubleshoot technical problems with it more quickly than with any of the others, and the ease of quickly sketching up things.

Re: [FATE] The Invasion - new people welcome
If I can't get a third player for my Thursday FATE game within a month, then I may run C&C on Friday nights. Then the only question is level 1 or high-level, to be decided by popular demand.

Re: [FATE] The Invasion - new people welcome
This game has just gotten a shot of life. It has room for one more player, at most.
