I will be there tonight but just a few minutes late.

We had a fun session last night. Some inappropriate jokes and a vampire hunt. Good times.

Several members of my family will be up there this Friday through Sunday, but I am not up to traveling yet. :(

Hey guys, sorry to do this on such short notice, but I have to cancel tonight. I thought I'd be up to it after getting home and taking some medicine, but this cold is kicking my arse tonight. I'm gonna try to get some rest so I don't have to miss work tomorrow. Sorry.

I hate being sick...

Sorry about last night guys. I caught this head hold toward the end of last week and thought I had it mostly kicked, but last night it decided to fight back. I'm feeling better today, so hopefully I have it beat.

Yes, Tree's game next week (3/10). Mine the week after (3/17).

I changed the rules on daily healing.

I changed it from heal 1 + Con bonus HPs per day to

Daily Healing: Heal back 1/level + Con bonus HPs per day w/appropriate rest.

Gents, I will be unable to play tonight. Just rolled in from hs lax tryouts and I still need to hit the treadmill for an hour.

So, to get this straight, we are back to every other week with this game and this week is Tree's game?

Well, after a glitch with MapTools killed an hour of the session, we got going. The party moved into the dense fog of the vampire's lair and ran into some of his minions. The cleric took a beating early on from the shambling mound and it took the fighter over half the session to be reminded that he has 2 attacks per round, but the tide turned in favor of the party. No one is dead... yet. We'll have to see how they fair for the rest of the encounter in 2 weeks. And fellas, it's getting on to evening.

Yeah, if you can't run, I can run my make up session from last week, assuming I don't have another miserable night beforehand again...

I should be ok to run it this week. Next week is production week, so I'll be hit or miss for that session, but since that is supposed to be tree's week anyways, it will be ok.

I'm having a rough afternoon. I'll show up if things calm down enough. (Gall bladder flare up again)

Edit: I finally got to talk to my Doctor about this again last Friday. He would like for me to try and "hold up" for another 2 to 3 months before putting me through another surgery. Especially since he can't do it laproscopically due to how badly I am scarred up inside, and will have to cut into me the old fashioned way. :(

The party faced off against the swamp vampire last night. Aeschelon got bit and lost some levels, but this group is death to undead, between the halfling and his magic stones and the bard with his sun sword. They also found out that the woman they are working for, isn't what she seems. Now to make it out of the swamp and to Sir Justin's without too much trouble.

I added some rules to the Magic section, the Magic Item section, and the Combat section.

Magic
Spell Resistance: To overcome SR, a caster rolls a d20 and adds their relevant Attribute bonus (Int for arcane, Wis for divine).

Magic Items
Holy Avengers: the SR given for Holy Avengers is a static SR 10 (not 5+level).
Elven Chain: Elven Chain has no innate magical bonus to its AC (base AC of +5). However, it is considered the same as padded armor for weight, encumbrance, and casting in armor checks. It can be enchanted like other armors.

Combat
Dual Wielding: If a character is Dex Prime, they get a bonus to dual wielding. They gain a +2 to both attacks. This offsets the -3/-6 of normal dual wielding. A high Dex bonus can never give a positive to an attack roll, it just offsets the negative. (Rigon has Dex prime and a Dex of 20. He dual wields. His attacks rolls are made at +0/+0 (-2 offset by +4 Dex bonus and -4 offset by +4 Dex bonus). He does still add any Str bonus to the attack roll.
