Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
I am going to miss tonights game. We are going out to celebrate finally closing on the selling of the house in Charleston. Which occurred earlier today. Feel free to use my character in any non intended combat manner, such as his using his Druidic Wildshape as a Gold Eagle to get in and out, or the spell he uses to change into any animal, etc... Pretty sure I updated my characcter sheet in Maptools last session.

I was sure you had us... that fighter's 2 attacks for every one of Sarosious' made a huge difference. He did a ton of damage. Looking back over my sheet, I could have cast Barkskin before the battle, but those 30's would still have hit. I'm glad Sorley came to the rescue!Rigon wrote:What a crazy battle. Yeah, I was worried for a bit too. Especially when what I thought was a fighter turned into a bad ars cleric that shook off every spell. Plus when their MU made what 2 or 3 dex saves in a row ... kept him from the entangle and then the silence .... yeah, I was worried. I could see him raining down fire balls, lightning and MM on us and killing us all himself.
Now the fight is over, and I can afford to ask questions about my clerics spells ... would freedom of movement broken the hold spell on the dwarf? What about dispel magic? If dispel magic, would it have effected all his magic items or just break the hold spell ?
Hmmmm, I re-read the history for Lupa ... I forgot how many plot hooks I put in there for you ... My gut says hunting pirates or freeing slaves would be what I/Lupa would like to do as the next adventure, but there are so many other things you could chose ... I know you said you don't like urban type story arcs, so I'd say anything you chose from his history outside the urban political would be good for Lupa.Rigon wrote:What a crazy battle. Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
Lurker, Freedom of Movement would have negated the Hold Person and a Dispel Magic would have required a check for all the magic effects that surrounded him. So you could have not removed the Hold Person, but the enchantment on his armor.

Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
Not many plot hooks in Sarosious' history, but I'd still like to find out the history of the Giant Slayer. Maybe something there? I'd also be interested in a waterborne adventure.
Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
I'd like to do something Druid oriented. My backstory has to do with protecting the forests from being destroyed by over zealous encroachment of the humanoid races. Which wouldn't have to be much of an adventure. Unless, maybe the Hob Goblins are clear cutting the forests around them? Crafting huge amounts of iron, and dumping the slag into the steams, killing off lots of wild life down stream? That would give me more than enough reason to stick around and stop them.

I never thought of that as a focus of yours ... it makes since though .... now that I think of it, wasn't there a book back in the day where the servants of a dark god - giants ogres or something like that - were dumping slag and coal into a holy stream to injure the goddess that was tied to it ???
That would be the root of a good adventure.

I'll be about 20 minutes late. Only 2 more weeks of basketball practice...
Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
Don't know if I will make it. Doing 8+ hours of driving today to go up to Phoenix and pick up gear we need for our farm. I will join in if/when I can.

Kidding aside, the Nentir Vale setting sounds interesting, as does Airde.

If you want to bring Kelidor back, you can. Just up him to the appropriate XP (should put you at 6/6 level). I'll have to come up with somethings for you to have to put you on a equal footing with the others.Kayolan wrote:Name: Kelidor, Holder of the White Key, Warden of the East March

How should I handle any new spells Kelidor has learned since his departure?
Also, are there any restrictions on attribute bonus spells, do I choose one class over the other or do I get them for both classes?
Re: Monday Night Kingdoms of Kalamar Game
New spells, take one for each level and then roll a d4+1 for new spells per level. Attribute bonuses apply to both appropriate class. So if you have a bonus spell for a high Wis it applies to cleric and a bonus for high Int it applies to wizard.Kayolan wrote:Thanks Rigon.Rigon wrote:If you want to bring Kelidor back, you can. You know we have an epic level cursed evil cloak that we need to destroy .... I bet Kelidor's god would be really grateful if he sacrificed it .... maybe happy enough to grant Kelidor an item that will give him more cure spells each day ... nudge nudge wink wink
