My eldest son is running a new C&C game, and he has agreed to let me play test rules from both Of Gods and Monsters and The Book of Familiars. So I will finally get to see these rules in play, and get to decide what I think about them in terms of adding them to my future games. This is a long process, since its a weekly game of 4 to 5 hours, but since I am not planning on running C&C again until after I get to run Victorious for a while... So I should have plenty of time to see how they work and come up with any house rules I may decide I want in place to allow them in my games.
BTW, I hope the Trolls did a much better editiing job on their new version of this (The Book of Familiars). The editing in the last version was extremely sloppy. Such as a lot of words they failed to separatefromeachother.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

This sounds great. I've looked through the former, but haven't checked out the latter yet.

OG&M is a bit on the high powered side for me and I haven't really dug into the BoF that much. But if you like them, I may look into them some more.

They both have high powered material in them, but that can mostly be addressed by increasing level requirements to levels where that kind of power is more appropriate.
