Player Looking to Join Online Game (Weekends Only)

Does anyone have an opening for a player? Because of the nature of my job, I can realistically only commit to playing on the weekends (located in Eastern Standard Time Zone, -5 GMT).
In the alternative, I might be willing to run something using something like Fantasy Grounds if there was enough interest. Please be advised that I am just getting back into gaming after a LONG hiatus and have never really DM'd before. If that is not a turn-off and people would be willing to give me a shot, we could do that as well.
Either way, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

There is a Sunday live speaking game using the free program SKYPE. Its in the evening. I think 7 or 8 EST. If you can get on Dragonsfoot.org the thread is posted there in their games thread.
I'll e-mail Skathros and tell him about this post, though.

Thanks. Although I rarely post here, I read every day. I monitor Dragonsfoot a little less often. Thanks for the help though. I will take a look.

We start at 7 pm EST. We play every other Sunday. Skath is an excellent CK. Tree and Rhu are awsome players. The Setting is DragonLance a year before the War of the Lance.
And Welcome to the boards, VS.

Thanks man! There are so many things that I like about Midnight that I just get giddy thinking about it... And yeah, I think they've always done a fantastic job with the art.

Hmm...that sounds great, but I know literally nothing about Dragonlance as a setting and I haven't read any of the books (I know...strange).
Is there a source book that I could buy that would get me up to speed? I'm totaly willing to pick something up.

A good book to get the feel of the world is the 2e Player's Guide to DragonLance Campaign. It can be purchased here for $4.95 as a PDF.

Or, if you can pay with something other than Paypal or American Express, Paizo has it for $4.00.

Velvet Souljah, you would be more than welcome in the game!
We've only run one game so far, and this coming sunday would be the second session. The adventure is still at the begining stage, so you wouldnt have missed all that much.
Don't worry about having (or not having) any knowledge of the setting. If you want a great free Dragonlance ressource guide, you can download the Ansalonian Gazetteer!
Quote:
The complete campaign guide to the Dragonlance saga. Everything a player needs to adventure in the fabled world of Krynn can be found right here: history, maps, non-player characters, geography, economics, societies, organizations, religions, politics, magic items, spells . . . and lots, lots more! This book also re-integrates Krynn with the core rules of the Dungeons & Dragons game and uses the Third Edition rules to expand the world.
Just disregard the 3Eisms
This document gives a pretty complete overview of Dragonlance, Our current players might want to give this doc. a look as well.

I've already looked. But I guess I have a more than passing interest in DL.

I read it a day or two after our last session, plus I played in the old modules and read the first 6 novels.
I quit when the dwarf died.

I'd certainly like to try. I just bought a new laptop (a MacBook Pro) and haven't got Skype installed/configured on this, so maybe you and I could get together beforehand just to make sure that the connection is working correctly.
If that sounds ok to you, shoot me a PM.

Are you still interested? We need your Skype id, so we can call you.

I'd be interested in playing in another online campaign if you have any room.

He and I tested out SKYPE and I haven't heard from him since. Over a month now.
Maybe he got into a super time consuming court case.
