Robert, does your daughter need 7000 for healing supplies? Or Dyne if you are playing (cleric???)
Just want to know, or I'll go back and readjust my AC with a better "+"
As well, is there an item in C&C comparable to the "Goggles of the Night" as listed in the DMG? If so, how much would such an item cost and would it grant the same ability as listed in the guide?
Rob
I don't know if Dyne is going to make it. Are you going to make it Dyne?

I'll be here tomorrow (well today depending on when you read this) but there will be a little snag. I just remembered that my Col's wife is have a wine & cheese party for all the team wives. That will leave me on baby duty. It wouldn't be that big a deal except that my little drool machine is getting her first tooth. She was whiny & fussy tonight and fought off sleep for an hour & 1/2 longer than normal.
If you all hear whimpering and crying I swear it's the baby & not me reacting to the thought of Straud thumping my paladin.....
Tree i also noticed I forgot to add my +2 to AC for divine aura. so my paladin (Glyn) needs that added on your copy.
Have a good one & look forward to a good game !

Here is my character:
Godwin Hart
Being the son of a knight, Godwin knew first hand the tragedies of conflict. But instead of leading armies to war and death, he aspired to another calling, one of service and healing. Training as a priest of Pelor, he was able to cure all manner of afflictions, whether brought on by men or nature.
However, when his father was murdered, Godwin realized that not all problems can be solved in a peaceful manner, that some men must take up the burden of war in the cause of defense. Inheriting his father's armor, and wielding a mace blessed by Pelor, he fought evil wherever he found it.

Yeah, I listed the shield separately cause the rulebook said it only applies to 3 foes in a round. Changing it now.

I don't really enforce that rule, it rarely comes into play, and I have far more important rules to worry about enforcing.
Like tonights Thursday group game. They never fought more than two opponents at one time, and I came close to killing one to 3 characters in two different encounters.
That was using the parts of the modules as written for the 4th to 7th level original. Granted, converting saves to C&C is what made part of it very ugly.
Not looking to encouraging for when they get to parts that Strahd has changed due to past adventurers. Well, I take that back. Tonights group did run into one of those. Would have killed the party mage if Strahd wasn't evil. (IE the +2 from protection versus evil made the difference)

Yep, the lousy saves were definitely giving us a harder time than the actual physical combat (even with one of our meat shields MIA). Except those 2 natural 20's on the claw/claw/bite. Ouch.
Good luck tonight, folks!
*runs back to Thursday group*

Thanks Jay, I think we will need the luck. I hate online dice rollers. Not the same as giving your own special dice a good shake and roll...

I couldn't believe it, I rolled 3 nat 20's in a row on the OpenRPG dice roller. 3!! Actually, I don't think it was in a row, I think it was actually 3 out of 4 rolls. Still. Pretty phenomonal.
Now if only it would be that good to me as a player.

Day 2: Paladins Lis and Glyn took an involuntary dive into a 1000' pit. I decided to follow. My Ring of Feather Fall and some lucky grabs saved them, but stuck us at the bottom of the pit. Good thing I had two potions of spider climb... oh, and wights are bad.

Yeah, that encounter was ugly. Still, after another session, everyone is still alive. Lots of potions of Restoration and Heal were consumed, but your all still alive and well.
Hopefully nwelte will be able to play his Paladin next Friday.
What I find amazing is everyone is having these ugly times with the module as written, with the exception of one event for the Thursday group. So stuff designed for 4th to 7th level characters under 1E has been causing everyone their problems.
I love Ravenloft!

These are examples of why I love running this module. It plays out so differently every time I run it, it seems like its new.
Like I said, 95% of everything the three groups have run into has been original encounters. Only modified to fit the C&C SIEGE rules.
Its why I think this is the best module of all time, from a CK/DM perspective.
I just wish I could have played through it before I came to know it so well.
Now there is no way I could enjoy it. I would have to sit in the back seat, just to keep from meta gaming it. Not fun.
