character sheet sent (note I did zero proofing) ... let me know if you have any problems with it.
For everyone else I rolled a Half-orc cleric named Gugis Bloodsnout.
Breed in captivity to barbarian warrior bride, Gugis was raised by the fist and steel. At an early age he was taken in by his evil acolytes and learned dark arts of healing through being brutally beaten healed, and beaten again to the brink of death. Having mastered control of pain he was then guided through a gentler path ... that of being told to do what had been done to him to his own mother. Whether is mother survived the ordeal is known only to his masters and himself. His masters mantra was By breaking the flesh, weakness is expunged and then the rebirth is at hand.
Having completed 15 years of this cruel training, Gugis was released into world to crusade for his master's deity's cause. On a raiding party designed to slaughter the heretic clerics of an opposing faith, Gugis stood before physically weak cleric that allowed him to rain blow after blow upon her without a returned strike. Her faith had shielded her from harm and as Gugis became winded and knelled from exhaustion, she whispered that he was forgiven. The cleric then left.
Stunned by this turn of events and the realization that his training, and faith did not allow him to overcome a weak human female cleric, Gugis realized that his faith in his masters faith may have been misplaced. Since then, Gugis renounced the evil faith of his masters and is seeking salvation in a more balanced faith.

Sergeant Brottor Balderk, 2nd level dwarven fighter.
AL: Lawful Good
HP: 19 (rolled a 10 and a 5)
To Hit:
+6 w/longsword (+1 for longsword proficiency, +1 for special blade, +2 for level, +2 for strength) [Damage: 1d8+4]
+4 w/other weapons (+2 for level, +2 for strength or dexterity)
AC: 20 (+7 for plate mail, +1 for shield, +2 for dexterity)
Strength*: 16 (+2)
Intelligence: 12
Wisdom: 11
Dexterity: 16 (+2) [Was 17, -1 for race]
Constitution*: 17 (+2) [Was 16, +1 for race]
Charisma: 13 (+1)
* Primary abilities
Weapons:
Longsword 'Evilbane' (Expert longsword, +1 to hit and damage, 375gp value) [Brottor was given his first soldier's sword when he joined the service, a weapon that was sturdy but initially unremarkable. Since then he has constantly kept it oiled and cleaned until it gained an amazing gleen and a razor-sharp edge that has yet to taste the blood of an enemy. The pride he has in his weapon has led the dwarven idealist to name his familiar blade 'Evilbane'.]
Warhammer (6gp value) [A gift given to him when he visited his clan while on leave. It is from his Great, Great Uncle Harden]
Armor:
Plate Mail Armor (+7 to AC, 600gp value) [Another gift from Uncle Harden, who has been nothing but supportive of Brottor. Supposedly, the great warrior Dello Balderk died wearing this ancient suit of armor during the defense of Clan Balderk centuries ago and the stain of his blood can still be seen near the collar despite the cleaning Brottor has given the suit. Nasty rumors suggest that Dello might have died at the victory feast following the battle and that the stain was actually lamb grease, but no decent Balderk family member would ever believe such slander. Regardless, old Harden dug this family heirloom out and passed it to his relation during a visit after Brottor's service was done. The two worked side by side custom fitting the suit to Brottor, which took some work... Dello was a stout dwarf indeed.]
Medium Wooden Shield (+1 to AC, 5gp value)
Equipment:
Backpack, Wooden Holy Symbol of Durendle, Hemp Rope (50 ft), Large Sack, Waterskin, Whetstone, Bedroll, Rations: 7 days, Small Belt Pouch, 3gp, 9sp
Racial Traits and Abilities: Animosity (Elves), Deepvision (120 ft), Determine Depths and Direction, Enmity (Goblins, Orcs), Defense Expertise (Giants, Ogres), Resistant to Arcane Magic (+3), Resistant to Fear (+2), Resistant to Poison (+2), Stonecraft, Expert with a Longsword (+1 to hit and damage)
Languages: Common, Dwarven
Size: Small
Movement: 20 feet
Brottor Balderk wasn't your normal, everyday dwarf. Ever since the young age of forty he wanted to become a knight in the service of the local human kingdom. He was mesmerized with how their armor shone in the sunlight and their lances fiercely gleemed when riding on horseback. He took to reading everything he could find on knights and took upon their habits, including the worship of Durendle, practicing more with the sword than the axe, and drinking alcohol only in moderation. Of course, this did not sit so well with the other dwarves, and on his fiftieth birthday he finally left the clan to find his own place in society. His mother, crying and wailing on his shoulder as he left didn't do much for making him feel very knightly. Shouldn't she be saying something like 'Come back with your shield or on it?' Ah well, off he went to become a knight.
Unfortunately, the recruiter he found wasn't the most virtuous of men, and enlisted him for two years in the army with promises that it would lead to a knighthood if Brottor performed well enough. Brottor was placed on border duty for two uneventful years. The dwarf stood out amongst his undisciplined comrades, who were normally selected for border duty to get them away from posts where they could cause trouble. Brottor's uniform was always polished, his sword always clean. He impressed some of his superiors so much that he earned a promotion to sergeant within eighteen months. He wasn't much liked by the privates after such a quick jump in the ranks, but they never liked his 'I'm going to be a knight' talk anyway. That, and he never really understood it when they told him that even knights don't walk around all the time saying things like 'Come men, it is time to do our duty and guard this land from evil, this holy day!' or 'By Durendle's righteous glory, you call that a boot shine?!'
After his two year enlistment was up, Brottor decided to leave the military as it began to dawn on him that he might not ever become a knight if he continued on an uneventful garrison duty. He went with the few belongings he has left to seek his fame that will lead to a knighthood elsewhere. Although he is an experienced swordsman, he never raised his blade in mortal combat as most of his skills were learned practicing for those two years with the various grizzled veterans of the garrison and he feels anticipation at the thought of using these honed abilities.

Good game Bran.
Not sure if the most worrying incident was the Amazing Martini's inability to roll an Open Locks roll above a 3 after seven rolls, or when the fighter buried his axe into the back of the dwarf's head for more damage than any single blow the dwarf had suffered from the enemy that night!
Unfortunately, Slimy did not get too much roleplay goodness, but hopefully that can be remedied next time. Always nice to have him with me (absorbing some of my damage)

Nope, he went super avatar on us, since the CK allowed him to heal everyone as much as was needed. Which was good, because with the HP attrition I think the dwarf and Fystin would have gone down otherwise.
Like he got in two successful backstabs on Fystin by two different thieves at the same time. One was a crit, so my poor 3rd level fighter took 35 HP and went down to two HP. Then your PC healed me for 8, and I survived the rest of the fight.
Oh, yeah, we have 6,000 XP's so far, so you are now third level. If you didn't get that before you had to leave.
Will next Friday work for you? It should be the last session we need to finsih the mod, we are about half way through level two. Plus we have found old journal pieces that have revealed that there is a vampire imprisoned down there somewhere.
Plus there is a family curse of Lycanthropy going on. So interesting things to find out more about.

We've accumulated treasure, but as far as dividing it the only thing I remember splitting up is the two swords and 7 potions. I got the Blessed +1 Broadsword and and I think the Dwarf got the +1 Silver Longsword.
We each got a Potion of Cure Light Wounds (1d8+5) and the others went into "group treasure", which includes a Potion fo Cure Disease, which I am apparently in need of since I have been inflicted with the curse. Of lycanthropy.

Don't worry Nwelte you can play still. I think the orcs temper added a certin flavor too the game. and Slimy is playing a 3rd level human ranger so you can still be your orc.

Yep, it was a good time. Except for that critical fumble by Tree's fighter and the axe he put into my dwarf's back. My dwarf didn't see it happen, so the party members just told him that the goblins got a real lucky shot in.

Right then - This is a quick intro to my character
Ill finish him and send him over by tommorow - I even have a really quik sketch of him
Brother Solomon
Half-Orc Monk of the Severed Claw
(A descendant of a group of Orcs that had slain a Great White Dragon-)
17 11 15 18 13 14
S: 18
D: 18
C: 16
I: 13
W: 14
Ch: 9
Hit points 10, 6 12
Hit Point total: 34
As I am unfamiliar with what world setting you are running in I will hold off on writing a major background for him other than that he is a descendant of a member of the Orcs of the Severed Claw and that he was abandoned in a mountain Monastery with a pewter necklace with the symbol of the Great White Dragons claw that his forefathers took to be their standard. He and his Sibling(s) were left with the Monks to be reared. Some time in his youth he was separated from his Twin(s) and took to learning the fierce art of Dragon Claw (an ancient and mostly forbidden Martial Art similar to Tiger Style Kung Fu but using more Knees and Elbows as well as the claw strikes.
Solomon is searching for the Orcs of the Severed Claw and wants to recover their Standard. He wants to establish his own Fighting School and Style in the future.

I thought there was something fishy about them.
Their characters seem to have something wrong with _them_ as well.

Just let me know if you guys need someone to put them out of their misery and save them from the dark side. I'm happy to help. Hmmm... maybe I've been hanging out with the half-orc too much.
