Saturday Campaign - The Rising Knight
Posted: Thu Sep 06, 2007 4:01 am
This will be a text-chat game using Skype text-chat and Gametable on Saturdays at 1:30pm PST (roughly 8:30 or 9:30 GMT). I should warn you that there will also be home-made classes converted from other editions, to accomodate some of the players' preferences..
We are going to keep in touch through Skype in order to coordinate things (I am "ssfsx17" on Skype). By request, I can send you my home-made versions of the Archaeologist, Kensai or Sorceror classes if you so desire to play as them.
If you haven't been scared away yet, here are the character creation rules:
Your stats are 18, 17, 17, 16, 15, 14. They make look a little high, but believe me, you'll need them! Arrange those however you want.
You may split a prime into two half-primes.
Maximum hitpoints for the first level.
You can multi-class for up to three different classes under the following house rules:
- Hitpoints are all added together. Bonuses or penalties from CON are counted every single time.
- Use the BtH of the class that has the highest current BtH.
- Useable weapons include everything from all your classes, unless one of your classes is Cleric or Druid. Monk offensive abilities only work with Monk weapons.
- Wearing armor or shields that one of your classes normally cannot equip will take away the abilities and bonuses of that class.
- Skills and abilities are based on the class levels for the classes they came from. If one skill is shared by multiple classes, use the class with the highest level to do that skill.
- Multiply the experience requirements for the next level by two if you have two classes or by three if you have three classes.
You start with 5001 experience points and 5000 gold. At first, you can only buy the standard stuff plus the following:
- +1 Weapon or Armor - 1000 gold extra on top of the basic cost
- Potion of Instant First Aid (stops bleeding) - 100 gold
- Potion of Cure Light Wounds (1d8) - 300 gold
- Potion of Cure Serious Wounds (3d8) - 500 gold
- Potion of Remove Blindness/Deafness - 500 gold
- Potion of Remove Curse - 500 gold
- Potion of Remove Disease - 500 gold
- Potion of Remove Paralysis - 400 gold
- Scroll of 0th-level Spell - 100 gold
- Scroll of 1st-level Spell - 300 gold
- Scroll of 2nd-level Spell - 400 gold (only if you are not multiclassing)
Do buy adventuring equipment and clothes. All that junk might come in handy. Especially rations. You might want some rations.
