No problem. And not to quibble, but you would need to fork over more cash then for your +3 ring.

Btw, your prices on amulet and bracers seem too low, based on the progression table. Might want to clear that with Treebore.

Good luck in your game.

Rhuvein, I can't speak to Wulfgarn's character creation, but it's worth noting that 9th level wizards have the ability to create unusual magic items at a reduced cost. I believe there is some risk involved though. It's possible this path may have resulted in lower gp cost items.

Dunno, just a thought. Eventually Wulfgarn will come flying by on his Hybrid carpet to respond.

Yes, that is what he did, he made 6 items and lost two points of CON from doing it. One of the items he had to permanatize was his Staff of Power, which is a little different from the Staff in the M&T since he couldn't cast the Globe of Invulnerability.

Thanks for the clarifications. So, how many CON savers are allowed then when making those magic items and how do they figure into your stats?

Well, ge basically had to oppose himself, is how I decided on the TN save. So he had to beat a CL 9 to not lose any CON points. He took CON as one of his 3 Primes, so he had to beat TN 21. He went with 6 items so his first six rolls had two failures in them so his CON lost two points and changed his HP modifer, which lowered his HP total.

Does that answer your question or is it still "muddy"?

Hey guys. I meant to follow-up with a couple questions after last week's game. First for Treebore.

* Due to my audio issues, I didn't really have a great opportunity to follow through on a few interactions. First, I tried to ask if any of the three NPCs we met would join us, but don't recall any feedback. Would they? If not, did Barnabus (is that right?) have any supplies he could contribute to our mission (potions/scrolls)?

Now, to the group...

* First, I signed on late and probably missed this. With the gold we pooled for group healing items (like the Staff of Ressurection), what did we end up buying? Who is carrying these items, as it might be useful for my cleric to carry one (if we have multiple) or atleast know who's corpse to pilfer should he need to.

*Secondly, to ride or not to ride? I kind of feel we should ride if we're truly going to try the "save the girlfriend" route. Otherwise I would vote to hoofing it up.

Yeah, that ride or no ride is a toughy. Though I think it was decided that we have no inkling about the GF.

Speaking entirely IC, I don't know that Mertberg would willingly enter a vehicle of such obviously sinister design. He's not here to entreat the Baron.

I would like to find a way into the castle other than thru the front gates- Perhaps we could fly and use Pass wall or a spell to break into the dungeon of the keep

I am throwing the idea out there- I'd really like to find an alternate way into the castle preferably below ground

lets pool our noggins on this - I say we F**K Up Strahds carrage and horses for him

(If we do not take the carraige in

I have a Wind Walk scroll which will turn the whole party gaseous and give us the ability to fly at a good clip. I'd bought it figuring we could use it to have the whole party (or what's left of it) follow the creep back to his lair when he turns gassy and sissies out. I wouldn't be against using it to gain access to the castle, however.

Does anyone/everyone want to get together on Skype one of these nights to plot and plan without burning game time? I'm free after work tonight, but probably have a play rehearsal early/mid-evening tomorrow. We could always meet a little early before the session as well.

I prefer meeting a bit early if it works for others. My evenings this week are jam packed.

Meeting a little early on Thursday is fine with me. Tomorrow will be my busy night. Tonight all I have to do is draw a bit and Thursday's open all night for the game.

We bought A staff of Healing, A staff of resurrection and a wand of restoration. At the moment, im carrying them as it was me who stepped up and totaled up our money and decided what to buy but splitting up the items is probably a good idea

As for the ride, I don't like it, driver less carriages scare me. And it seems like more "Heathen Gypsy Tripe" to me, And I want nothing to do with it
And Treebore, a question for you: I seem to recall you mentioning somewhere that you allow clerics to spontaneously cast healing spells (not your exact words but im sure you get the idea) How exactly do you work that house rule (if it indeed exists and im not hallucinating house rules, geekiest bad trip ever )

You remember correctly. As long as your good aligned you can convert a non healing spell to a healing spell of the same level as needed.

Hey, guys. I've been having intermittent internet problems since the weekend. I haven't been able to figure out what's going on, but hopefully it won't affect the game. I'll also try and get on early if at all possible.

Yeah, but as usual, if things happened just a little bit differently, 3 out of 4 of you would be dead. Maybe for good, depending on what Garn would have done afterword.

Good game! Lots of spilled blood!
