I am not sure how SIEGEd Spak Man wants to make it. But 4th edition is probably the easiest for that

As for Traveller SIEGE, it's time to kick bass and take names!
You should maybe figure out ahead of time what kind of super ship we can get when we combine all of our money and ships. (and we make full use of Scotty's negotiative mastery! )

We are selling 4 ships, I think, plus we have the $$ from our last deal. Whatever that total is, we want a big ship, with maybe enough weapon slots for each PC to use one(except Scotty and maybe Halo? can't remember). Each PC will need to acquire that skill in one of our jumps.

I was thinking a smart distribution of our nest egg would be as follows:

60% total for ship, 20% total in savings for future repairs etc., 20% in cargo for profit. What do you guys think?

Join me and together we can rule the galaxy

Yeah I'm in the process of SIEGING up 4th ed gamma world, which is pretty simple, the only changes to the system I have had to make so far are a few "I don't like that, scratch it, SIEGE check instead" but for the most part it will be by the book.

The only major change I'm trying out will be my changes to the mutations, I've split the lists into Major and Minor powers in an attempt to balance the power of the PCs. Once I have the list all worked out Ill send out a character generation document to all of you.

Excellent. I like your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter As I said before, probably a mix of 4 total mutations, 1 major (powerful) 2 minor (useful/limited) and one defect (minor/adds flavour) for each, rather than randomly generating them.

For a short campaign like this, I assume everyone will want to have mutations. If not, you may equalize Pure Strain Humans a bit by starting them with a couple of tech items we muties would have trouble using. This of course depends on how "beginnerish" you want the whole thing to start

Looking forward to it

I have never played GW before, so just do whatever you think will show us the "coolness" of the game.

Thats more or less how I planned on doing it, Id give 5 mutations (like in the 4th ed book), 1 major, 3 minor and a defect but instead of rolling to see how many mental/physical mutations you get I'll probably let you choose how many of each you roll, so if you feel like playing a more "mage" type mutie you have that option rather than having the dice decide for you

Anyways the list of mutations has been split up, I just have to organise them into rolling tables and maybe make a few tweaks if one list or the other is too small, or I change my mind on the power level of some mutations.

Tree, about how many sessions do you think we have left in traveler? just a ball park figure so I know aprox. how much time I have left to prep for Gamma World

Sounds good. I just flipped through the 4th ed book (I have 1st and 4th) and its table seems to average 3 of each, so your estimate is a good one. The 4 total mutations average I think I got from 1st edition, you roll a d4 for both physical and mental, where I assume mutations were a bit more unbalanced. Then again, the average of 1d4 is 2.5, so your 5 is spot on

Is it just me, or do you think of Blazing Saddles every time you hear "Planet Mongo".

Yep.

Have you written up a big shiny new ship for us to explore that map?

Yep we have a new, shiny ship (And I mean like, just off the conveyor belt shiny)

and we have some spare cash (around 200 mill) after all the re-licensing and such, which took 24.1 mil.

our ship is one of my dreams come true, it has 2X the cargo room as all 3 of the ships combined. (the fourth one was already sold) So I am in a state of near euphoria (my merchant), I am also going to be hiring a few bodyguards and seeing if I can get trained to use BaS 15. Dad just pointed out to me that I am possibly going to be a target for my siblings, cause we are fighting it out over our inheritance, and I am the front runner.

TMI, JB!
BTW, I apologize for being too lazy to look through the prior 8 pgs...but Treebore do you have your Traveller Siege rules available for perusal?

Deop me an email at sieg (at) dragonsfoot (dot) org as PMs are tough for me to access here.

Thanks,

To be honest, I feel a bit off today. I actually think I spent too much time outside with too little water. Anyways, if its OK with the two remaining players I would rather just cancel the session tonight.

If you would rather play I am sure I could do it, I would just probably be a bit off.

So Aramis and Spakman, let me know if you want to play, or are OK with waiting until next week.

Treebore: could we cancel until next week?

Spak man: *points menacingly at server* vent is _up_. You wanna disappoint vent?

I am fine with skipping. We can't finish without Jayhawk anyway! I was all worked up for what was to be a spectacular space battle

See you next week

Tell you what, I'll open up SKYPE, if you guys want to chat, we can, if not, have a relaxing evening and talk to you next week.

I am. I think I just spent too much time in the sun and didn't drink enough water. That is exceptionally dangerous for me and I don't always do enough. So I think yesterday was just one of those times that reminds me to do more.

Ready for our final Traveller session? I am. See you all on Vent in about 30 minutes, assuming we have the VEnt address in time. We'll use open RPG.

Nice work, Treebore. Those ship to ship battles can be a bit scary. Especially when none of us can roll above a "7"

Damn you OpenRPG
I found my shadowrun book. It's 2nd edition.

Here is a world for us to explore the next time we play Traveller SIEGE
http://home.btconnect.com/hughfoster/Tr ... rethA4.pdf

It may seem somewhat familiar to C&C players.
