Bad news comes in threes:

1. No make up game this coming weekend.

2. In light of my campaign taking me to the sticks and my inability to reliably host every other Sunday, I have come to the conclusion that I cannot continue to run the every other Sunday night game until after November 2, 2010. There are 28 townships and I need to knock on every door I possibly can. While I have made significant progress in the 5-6 most densely populated townships (this accounts for nearly 75%-80% of the local population), I still have a lot of door knocking in the rural areas of my county. Lots of driving, walking, knocking, talking, and shaking hands.

3. Because I am out of my home and staying at my mother's Thursday through Monday every week, I will be unable to host a Maptool server on Sundays. I can continue to host on Tuesdays (with an exception for this Tuesday) as I am home or at least near home on those days.

What does this all mean? Poor timing on my part. I have to suspend a campaign mid module right before things begin to get interesting. I suggest that the group play an alternative campaign until I can return. Dark Sun anyone??? If the new campaign takes hold and everyone wants to stick with that, I will understand. I would appreciate it if a space would be reserved for my inevitable return. If a space cannot be reserved, I again understand.

Some time this week I will post exp and loot for the last two sessions so that everyone knows where we left off.

CURSE YOU REAL WORLD!!!

If only I could win a campaign with fantasy gold and Holy Avengers. Second thought, a Bead of Smite Opponent would be nice.

Understandable. In light of this now we not only will skin you alive if you become one of "them", but now we will rub salt in your wounds as well.

So if you succeed in becoming one, how often do you have to submit to this process again? Every 4 years? I may want to stock up on salt ahead of time.

Every 4. But hopefully, I will be able to remain in that position uncontested, which is usually the case.

So, if Nate is putting his campaign on hold, I will step back in and start up a campaign until he is ready to return. We just need someone who can host MapTools for us until I can figure out my router and get port forwarding set up. I need to find the intallation disk first. It's around here somewhere.

If I start up a new campaign, I will bow out of the Tuesday alternate slot for anyone who wants to try their hand at running a game.

Also, I am open to campagin suggestions for the Sunday game.

Choices (in no particular order):

1. Dark Sun

2. Forgotten Realms (grey box only)

3. Kingdoms of Kalamar

4. Aihrde (set in the Drakenfold area)

Let me know and I'll start up a new thread.

see returning to the Dragonlance game listed....

Of the 4 listed choices these appeal to me in order of preference, most preferred first:

Kalamar, Faerun, Aihrde, and Dark Sun.

Never been a fan of Dark Sun, but if anyone can turn me into one, its you!

It took quite a lot of ingenuity (and quite a few brutal, brutal player deaths... I think jaybird accounts for a baker's dozen himself) but we did it!

Keep in mind Rigon, if Nate returns in November, that is 2 months away. Playing every other week, that is only 4 sessions maximum, if there are no cancellations. So, you might not need a "campaign". One module should do it (and you might not even be able to get that in, in 4 sessions)

As to the campaign worlds, I guess my preference is roughly the same order as how you listed them, as we have had a good run of Airdhe already in Nate's game.

The more interesting thing to me is not the world, but what modules/adventure styles you will run.

re: installation disk for router. Often, that stuff can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
