No one has offically announced their classes yet but I looks like the following are in the party:

Rigon - Ranger (possible multi/dual classed with mage)

Tree - Paladin

Neither above sounded committed to their class selection as of yet.

I think my barb. is nutty too but could add some nice randomness and crazy encounters. May need to be tweaked a bit, but we can do that on the fly.

Speaking of the barb anyone who wants to test out can change classes if the class sucks and I will allow all exp/items etc earned to transfer without penalty.

Rigon asked about mage's being able to cast while wearing armor, I will allow this but need to think about appropriate siege checks, modifiers, and penalties. Anyone with a suggested system pipe up.

Again, comments suggestions regarding further changes to any of the classes are welcome.

Cool, thanks Nate. Definitely count me in. The maps are awesome, BTW.

I'll figure out what I want to be tonight. Next week is the first game?

If nobody wants to be the cleric, I can do it....

Nate, there is a document of classes that I opened up to my players that is c&c based called the Netbook of classes. It is located here: http://www.dragonsfoot.org/cc/

I'd like to try something new, if not, I'll go priest....

Not sure Nate, but I'll have a skim thru and list 3 classes. If any are good for you, ill pick one, if not, I'll go cleric, or priest as slimy puts in

Wait, we're out from under Chuck's blatantly racist bias against gnomes! I want to be a gnome, which means ix-nay on the steroid-junky.

Hmmmm... I'll figure it out tonight. Rhu, you going gnome as well?

I thought a paladins ability to turn undead was lower than that of a cleric?

So for turning, a 1st level paladin = 3rd level cleric?

According to the phb, a 5th level paladin turns as a 3rd level cleric.

Yep, that was just my notation to remind me of that, rather than a full copy of the description, I am lazy that way.

I saw the four 18's as well, nice rolling tree!!

Nate, the only class that interests me is the Marskmen from that list. A specialized archer so to speak.

Okay here is my tally:

1. Slimy - Tarja Half-elf Rogue

2. Tree - Grimaryl Amter Human Paladin

3. Rigon - Ranger (mage) ??

4. Jay -

5. Rhu - ??

6. L.S. -??

The barb. class will likely get some revisions.

Feel free to use any gods in the folio/codex and as part of the Haunted Highlands Supp.

Will try to post the background story which I will use to tie everyone together later.

Also, absent me getting a Vent server launched we will use Skype and Maptool Dev Ver. .30

Note that once you download Maptool you can launch it to make a token/minature in advance of the game. This will speed up play on the first session greatly. I will launch a server for Tree's game tonight. Anyone can connect to the server to grab the Campaign properties so that you can make your token.

Server Name is Tree's Game

player password - player

To grab the Campaign Properties go Edit->Campaign Properties. THen select Basic and then export the file some place you can remember.
Just do not interrupt Tree's game.

Then you can disconnect from the server and open up maptools on your own time to customize your token. You do not need to be connect to a server to do this.

To Customize your token select an image from your library and drag to the green canvase. If you do not have a library of images availabe in Maptools yet you need to add a resource library by File->Add to Resource Library and then selecting the directory where you have images. This will map the directory to Maptool's library of images.

Once your token is on the screen, double click the token to open the token properties dialog. Under the properties tab enter all your critical stats. Tip: If you intend to use quick macros like I do, for the attribute stats do not enter the actually value of the attribute, instead enter the modifier bonus conferred by your attribute. Ignore all stats following MeleeMagicBonus as they are for the CK not the players. At a minimum I hope players will enter their HP, AC, and Alignment and identify their primes is the properties tab so I can quickly reference those critical stats

without asking and on the fly. All other stats are purely option but will add in speeding game play if you use macros. I will post a macro tutorial later. Once your Token is created, right click the token, on the menu that appears select save and choose a location to save your token that you can remember.

Note those who have already save the campaign properties from a prior game with Rigon will need to resave the properties as I have modified them.

Any questions or problems just ask.

If people want, I am willing to work with everyone prior to the game to help them save the property file and create their tokens or macros. Just let me know when and I will work with you the best I can. Bear in mind, the best time for me is after 7 p.m. central.

You know, I copied and pasted this from Combat Kyle's game file (he made 5th level before Kyle disappeared) and had forgotten how awesomely I rolled for him. Still, Kyle used a similarly generous stat generation system to mine. I think. I'll have to read through his house rules document, maybe I did just roll awesomely.

Anyways, I got rid of all his 5th level equipment and gold, and his mount, and riding gear.

Hey nwelte, did you ever read my "Order of the Phoenix" post? If so I would like to be a member of the Order. I did the write up for my Airhde games, and Ash could actually join it in my game as well. Hmmm. I just had an old memory come back of orders I wrote up for my GH campaigns. I know I can't find them fully written up, but maybe I can at least find their names. Orders are largely similar in how they support/help their members, its the orders goals/aims that really distinguish them.

Shouldn't we all be using the house rules Nate set to create our characters and not dress down previously used characters? In that case, I may take one of my old ones and dress down as well..
