Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Oh maptools, our love seemed so fresh and new for a bit, but now it seems you are as remote and unattainable as all the others

Hey Andre, sorry for not getting back sooner. I've decided not to take the class this time around (it's recurring, so I can always catch the next cycle in a few weeks). However, after we finish our romp through the mutated wilds, I think I'm going to take a break anyway, just to recharge my batteries a bit.

No problem adaen. Hope you got a feel for how online gaming works. And for how we play.

So, are you thinking of signing up for a regular tour of duty?

I think Spakman is just finishing up his adventure, so he probably does not want to integrate you just yet. But, you could give our next game a try.

The good news is: it's Paranoia SIEGE! Reputed to be one of the most enjoyable "one off" type games in existence The bad news is, I will be the DM So, it's a mixture of the sour and the sweet

I believe Spakman has already booked a chum of his into the group, starting next adventure, so at most we would be accepting one more person

That person could be you, Adaen!

Alright, our plan is working perfectly. And by perfectly, I mean we bumble from one calamity to the next.
We have "snatched" the two guards. What do people want to do next?

Some options:

1) set an ambush for when the other guys come down. Heck, keep doing that until we have all 34 of them tied up in the buggem caves
2) move well away with our captives, get info about who they are, what all these ancient (and noisy) magic machines of the ancients are for, a map of their layout etc. Let the heat die down for a number of days, then hit 'em. Pow!

3) Use our combined powers to drop the giant wasp nest on the guard outpost up top. They move guards to stop the upper attack, we slip into the lower area. They think they are under attack by 30 or 40 reptilian commandos with MIND powers...Total surrender imminent...ZZzz..whah...oh..anyway, that's another possibility
4) Just roll through them room by room, like a dungeon. what's with all this tactics malarkey?

5) Hand around some more of that Zudku's "hair". Ahhh. That's the stuff.

Other ideas?

Not as long as you can give us heads up. Too bad you don't have a laptop with wireless and stay at hotels with wireless. I ran my Monday games even when I was on vacation that way.

We'll likely do option 4, even though I would like to see if we can get option 1 to work.

I actually do have a laptop with wireless, etc., but alas, I work in a heavily regulated industry and my laptop is partially locked down (I haven't been able to install any VOIP applications). As soon as I get IT to agree to install a VOIP and/or get one to work with my blackberry, I'll be in business....well, unless I'm in Asia or something.

I'll work towards getting that set up as this would seem to be a very clear "business need"
Best,

Oh, I have no doubt some variation of #4 is what we _will_ do. I was wondering what we _should_ do.

Yeah, but then I'd be carrying two laptops....The airport is scary enough with only one....
