Thinking the next maps I will be making (besides the A series) will be Sunless Citadel and Exp. to Castle Ravenloft. Figure if I start expedition now, I can finish it by October for Tree to run it again.... nudge nudge wink wink.
I do plan on running the Ravenloft Game again this October. I plan on doing it every year as long as I have enough players.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

She had a good time and told me she would like me to start a another game that she could take part in. But Sundays do not work for her and every other week could be difficult as well. She was surprised by how relaxed we were. I think she was expecting to play with people who talk in character constantly and would not be open to playing with a rookie.
She was also intimidated by maptools at first and the rules.... what to add to what. Then she realized I took the math out of the game with the macros I made her. She then found that maptools made the game easy to play and enjoyable for her. She told me today unprompted that she had a really good time. I know when I asked her to play she was nervous because she only played at home twice and that was with close family members. She was worried she was going to get the group mad by doing something dumb. So to hear that she had a good time is an extremely positive sign.
She also said to thank everyone for playing and that she enjoyed playing with everyone she meet online.
I think this means she will be more understanding of my habit.

Good. Lets hope it not only leads to her being understanding, but being something you all end up doing as a family like mine does.
Its really cool to get your own little family around the table and share the story of the adventure with them. Then to realize they will carry those memories with them through their own lives makes it extra special.
So I hope she realizes its fun and enjoyable, and is capable of being so much more than just a game. Its creating stories and memories together. Stories that can have a lot of personal meaning. Like in our family game we put a lot of "life lessons" into it. We had the characters get married, have their own kids, their own homes, etc... We bring up a lot of real life moral issues and challenges in game. So we have a fun story telling medium through which to share and explore morality and the challenges of "real life". We teach and get a sense of how our kids will handle situations when out on their own in the real world.
So I think playing RPG's are just about one of the perfect family tools for having fun and teaching each other and learning about each other. Plus a great way to share memories, comradery, and lots of laughs for them to remember you with for the rest of their lives, not to mention for yourselves.
So I hope she comes to enjoy it a great deal, and that you all come to share it as a family.

Thanks again for running the game.
By the time the game started I had forgotten that your wife was a newbie. She didn't do anything during the game that seemed out of the ordinary to me. She fit right in and I would have guessed she was experienced.
