Fantasy Grounds 2...Finally!

Post by Orpheus »

Ok, so I finally got in on an FG2 game using the C&C ruleset tonight. Awesome! Just plain awesome! We used Skype in conjunction with the VT and, while not exactly like being in person, it was a grand experience very close to the real thing. If any of you haven't tried this out yet then I'd say to give it a spin. I also got into a Cthulhu Beyond the Mountains of Madness campaign on Monday and that was top notch as well. I might actually wind up with some actual game time here now. What a relief. Good job to the Digital Adventures guys on this ruleset.

Oh, and the screenshots of the Cthulhu ruleset up on Yog-Sothoth look kick ass as well.

I just ran an FGII game using the C&C ruleset in which the players were awesome! Coincidence?
Also, the game I ran had three players, that's a good number but there is still room for more if any readers of this thread would like to participate. Out of curiosity Orpheus, would you mind another player or two in the game you participated in?

Wow! You even have the same screen name as our GM! Hey, the more the merrier. I've only got so many hit points to go around...well, two actually.

It ran tonight? Meaning Thursday? I can't. I'm already involved in a SKYPE/Maptools game.

Wed would be workable for me. That game concluded this week.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I think Orhpeus' first post in this thread from early Thursday morning was still referring to those wee morning hours as Wednesday night. The game we're talking about took place Wednesday night and looks likely to do so again next week.

In that case I can join. What do I need to do about the program?

Just go to the Fantasy Grounds website and purchase either the Lite or Full Liscence of the program. The Lite liscence is about $24 and the Full is $40, I believe. The main difference is thtat the Lite is just for playing and the Full is for playing or GM'ing. You've already got Skype installed so that is it my friend.

If you do decide to purchase the software, the next step is to PM me so I can get you the setting info and we can arrange a time to create a character for you by next Wednesday.

Upon further reflection gaming 4 times per week is enough already. I am going to keep 3 days per week free for awhile.

Can't say that I blame you. If anyone else feels like joining then please let us know.

Game schedule

Post by ryguysolis »

We play Wednesdays, the times are not rigidly defined. For example, last week we started play around 8:30pm (GMT-6), but this week we will likely start earlier, around 4:00pm (GMT-6). I still have to get the mass email out tonight, but that looks to be the time.

I'm afraid that I can't make it that early. The previous start time of 8:30 is good for me as I like to put my son to sleep around 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. Also, I don't get off of work until 5:00 p.m. Let me know what you think.

Still looking for players? I've got FG II (full client) and Skype already - having run numerous games but looking to play.

PM or respond here:)

Have a good one!
