Any interest in Temple of Elemental Evil?

Post by Galadrin »

I'm considering running an online Castles & Crusades game set in the T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil module, and was wondering if there was any interest? The game would be weekly or bi-weekly in the evening (I'm unavailable Tuesday nights and every other Sunday night with Buttmonkey's online game).

If you are interested, please post what days and hours you would be available, if you'd prefer bi-weekly or weekly and so on. Also mention if you've ever played ToEE before, and how familiar you are with it.

The game would be run using Skype for voice-chat and MapTool for tokens, maps and dice.

As for house rules, I like to play everything by the book, with a few exceptions...

1) Roll ability scores in order (Strength, Dexterity, Constitution etc).

2) Use weapon stats from Basic Fantasy Roleplay (they can be found on the 7th page of this PDF).

3) I use a group initiative and combat system based on the Rules Cyclopedia (BECMI) initiative. It's similar to how Castles & Crusades works but a little faster and more interesting. I will explain it in the first session.

Everything else is pretty much exactly as in the PHB. Ability scores are roll 4d6 drop the lowest, starting money is generated randomly, no multi-classing or dual-classing etc (this may change, but I am a big fan of the strong character archetype that is a single class character).

Anyone interested?

I might be up for this. I have 3 copies of ToEE, but have not read much of it (and what I did read was a very long time ago -- I recall vaguely some of the NPC details from Homlett and Nulb). Sunday nights, Mondays, and Wednesdays are out for me.
