In Real Life I shoot better than this.... Although I improved to hitting the inside of a windowless room. From inside.... At least my arrows aren't breaking....
Tempted to jump through the window, glass and all.... Maybe tackle a couple of them...
Although my WIS isn't that low, so next time I go I try again.... Carefully using my 6 second round....
My next roll: 12! +2 for DEX, 14, plus flanking?

Aldwyn pulls his spear back and then puts it through the goblin's chest. Blood spurts when he pulls the spear back out and the goblin falls to the floor in a crown of blood.
The goblin leader lunges for Aldwyn, narrowly missing with the first dagger and then catching the second dagger on the table so it falls to the floor on Aldwyn's side. The goblin utters a vicious grunt you expect is a curse.
Faran, encouraged by the fall of one of the goblins, swings in a sweeping arc towards the leader but the results are disappointing again. The remaining goblin stabs at Faran as he is off balance but the blade goes over Faran as Faran moves his body down with the long swing.
Orvyn tries to shoot the leader but the arrow deflects off a metal sholder plate. (No flanking, sorry, since you are slightly to the front of the goblins).
Aldwyn, it's your turn again.

(posting out of turn is fine; it's saving us some time)
The leader, furious that he has dropped one of his daggers, strikes wildly at Aldwyn and cuts a gash in his side (2 points of damage).
Faran whips his mace around again and goes for the goblin with the short sword. Desperation to end the combat before any of his friends become more seriously injured helps him aim and the heavy mace comes down hard on the goblin's shoulder with enough force to shatter the shoulder and several ribs after it. With a shriek of pain the goblin falls to the floor and twitches several times before becoming still.
Orvyn is up . . . .

Guess I didn't say what Orvyn tried with his next roll.... Attack again with the bow. Maybe I hit the far wall this time? The windowsill?

The goblin leader knows he is outnumbered and probably in trouble but he is stubborn. He stabs at Faran, giving him a good scrape on the arm. Faran takes a step back, swings the heavy mace over his head and steps forward again to increase the strength of his blow. He hits the goblin leader on the chest but it is just a grazing blow and doesn't kill him.

One of your arrows was broken but the others are okay.
Checking the bodies of the goblins, you find the following things.
Gobin 1: Besides his filthy clothes and weapons, he has 15 silver pieces in a vest pocket.
Goblin 2: 23 silver pieces in a worn leather pouch hanging from his belt.
Leader: The two daggers the goblin was using are in excellent condition and obviously of superior workmanship. The hilts are a beautiful leather with a swirling design engraved on the pommels. They are a matching set. In a pocket you find a small tin with some ointment inside. On the lid is written "For External Use Only". In a fur pouch you find 7 gold pieces and 11 silver pieces.
The room is mostly empty though there are a number of broken chairs, the now broken table the goblins were behind, and a desk with two broken legs. There are three closed drawers in the desk. The top two are smaller than the bottom drawer. There doesn't appear to be anything else of interest in the room.

Faran
"I have a cut but it isn't too bad. I'm fine for now."
7 gold
49 Silver
Let's split them evenly - 2 gold & 20 silver for two of us, 3 gold and 19 silver for the other (owed a silver piece...) Anyone with any preference?
How about I hold on to the daggers until we figure out what to do with them? I don't think either of you can use them? Although do either of you have a knife? Always good to have a small sharp thing on ya....
So, if we think we're ready to go on, anyone with any preferences on where we go next? Continue to the next building north? Head to the main building?
I'm leaning towards heading to the main building.... Carefully, of course....

There is not a whiff of poison about the drawers. In the top two drawers (I assume you open them) are some very old and dry pieces of paper that have been torn and stained with who knows what. Some of them are bound into book form. On the paper are rows and rows of symbols that you do not recognise. Some are fairly simple (consisting of a single horizontal line) and others are extremely complex. In the bottom drawer you find a small wooden chest. Carved into the top is a fancy letter 'G'.

Aldwyn will show everyone the contents of the box, "are these what I think they are? we will definitely take these back to town. imagine how many people we could help."
Aldwyn will examine the book and ask, "Faran, can you make anything out of the book?"
(The internet server at my work has labeled the freeyabb forums as a illegal drug hit so its banned.)
