Is there somewhere I can get a primer of sorts on the whole setting? I've been interested in the setting but want to know more before I pursue buying some stuff.

The Player's Guide to the Wilderlands from Necromancer has a pretty thorough overview of the setting, with tons of info.

That IS about as primer as you are going to get! The Player's Guide is choc-full of information though... and I mean a lot. The small(er) font type, and the layout of this book really maximize the amout of information that can be contained in the tome... however, a "primer" in the terms of a basic overview it is not. But it's the best primer for the setting out there.

You know, I wish they had something like an "After Winter's Dark" for the setting.

The CSIO wilderness map and its details would make a great "Wilderlands Lite" supplement. I've run whol campaigns just in that region alone.

I'm considering doing a folio style product for each region starting with Viridistan. It will depend on how the Eastmark and Aihrde folios do... I love that format, ahve since I first bought the Greyhawk folio ere these many long years ago...

Well of course, we all hope those do well. But I will say that, I'd love to see a folio/primer whatever for the Wilderlands. Actually, if they were all released at the moment I would buy the Wildelrlands Folio first and formost, since I already know and run the others.
