Post Not your ordinary Tumbleweed
Another conversion from 3.5e sourcebook material. Someone had mentioned a month or two back about man-eating tumbleweeds. Well, here you are. ;)

This creature dwells in the badlands and deserts appearing for all argument as a normal tumble weed rolling across the dry ground. In truth it is an intelligent plant that seeks blood on which to feed in the hot, dry environs wherein it dwells. These creatures are adept at hiding amidst normal tumbleweeds or bramble-like vegetation then rolling silently out of hiding to attack prey. They are also known to attack at night while victims are sleeping.

Blood Drain – The Tumbling Mound will sink as many sharp thorns into its victim as possible when it attacks. Said victim will have 1d2 CON drained by the creature with each attack. The creature will roll away sated once it has drained a total of 8 CON points. If the victim dies before the Tumbling Mound has managed to drain this amount, it will then search for a new victim.

Immunity-Fire, half – The tumbling mound is resistant to fire and only suffers half damage normally from such attacks.

Awesome! I instantly imagined blood-thirsty tumbleweeds rolling around in the darkness for sleeping victims upon the prairie. Insta-fav.
